Luxus Couple Set Review – My Sex Toy Guide

Luxus is the lovechild of not one but two brands: Kiiroo, one of the leaders in haptic and teledildonic technology, and Lux-Connect technology. Before jumping onto the sex toy scene, these manufacturers tested this combo with couples and therapists to get their feedback. The result? An adorable pair of high-tech pleasure devices in the form of a clitoral vibrator (the LuxHer) and a cock ring (the LuxHim).
But this couples’ set is more than that. Luxus uses your movement during sex to ramp up the pleasure, thanks to magnet-driven sensors. With each thrust, the vibes are turned up a notch, giving you synchronized, stunning sensations. A comfy finger grip is included so that the LuxHer doubles as a finger vibe. Join me as I discover whether this couples’ set stands up to its competition in this Luxus Couple Set review.
Key Takeaways

The Luxus Amsterdam Couple Set is as unique as it sounds. So many sex toys have tried to create a couples’ device that interprets thrusting into vibrational pleasure for people with vulvas, but this is the most seamless experience. It’s the perfect match for couples with different genitals to explore the holy grail of synchronized orgasms. It’s also effective for couples who are often long-distance and want the option of connecting virtually with the app but want the flexibility to use it in person, too. The price is excellent for the value provided; it’s worth every penny.
Who Should Try It? Any couple whose vulva owner doesn’t easily orgasm from penetration alone (and that’s most vulva owners) will find that this transforms their sex life. Anyone with pain during sex who has not had luck with the internal C-shaped vibrators will be delighted by this pain-free design, too.
Who Can Skip It? If you need a hands-free vibrator but don’t plan on shaving that nether region, this is not a good fit. If you need broad or rumbly vibrations, this has neither. And if the gendered nature of the product names will trigger gender dysphoria for you or your partner, this may not be the one.
You Can Buy It on the official Luxus Amsterdam website for $149.
What Is the Luxus Couple Set?
The Luxus Couple Set is a unique sex toy pairing with a cock ring and clitoral vibrator that have a magnetic connection, literally. When you move, it moves, just like that. The settings give you a few different options, with speed and distance modes guiding when the vibrations turn up, either via quicker thrusts or how close the two devices are to each other. Further, they work separately and are app-compatible, so you can take your pleasure long-distance when the occasion arises. The set also comes with an ergonomic finger grip that you can slip around the vibe, and voila! Now, it’s a finger vibe, too!
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
I was immediately charmed by the design of the Luxus box. The front shows both toys and is a calming lilac color. The box is sturdy and well-made, and unboxing the sex toys was a pleasure. On the inside, I found a silky storage bag, the LuxHer (a clitoral vibe) and the LuxHim (a cock ring), and body-safe, reusable stickers for the vibrator (everything can be seen in the below image). The cardboard insert that keeps the toys in place also has an abbreviated instruction manual with a QR code that you can scan to get the full version.

How Do I Use the Luxus Couple Set?
After unboxing the Luxus Couple Set, charge it. Mine arrived fully charged, which was a nice surprise. But depending on how long yours is in transit, it may have less of a charge upon arrival. Plug the USB recharging cable into your outlet, then align the charging pins until the LED lights up (it should look like the image below). It will turn green when it is ready to go, and it will blink red while charging.
The website estimated that it would last up to five hours on a full charge and then take two and a half hours to recharge. When I tested it, those estimates were virtually dead on. While it is charging, grab some water-based lubricant (never mix silicone lubricant with a silicone toy) from the store since there is none included. Then, familiarize yourself with the instruction manual and download the FeelConnect app so you’re ready when the Luxus is.
The Luxus is made from silicone, but the packaging says water-resistant, which is distinct from waterproof. However, I washed all the parts with water and soap, and they worked fine. Later, I found on the site that the LuxHer is waterproof, which was reassuring. Lux-Connect may want to update its packaging to be more specific about what material is used and how to clean it.
You can use the Luxus Couple Set in manual mode or app mode. Manual mode means you’ll use the button, and you would think that that’s the simpler way to go. But you would be wrong: the buttons are confusing until you program patterns in the app. The app mode gives you access to more capabilities and is easier than you might expect to set up. Next, decide if you want to use the stickers, which only work if your vulva is hairless. Place the nubs on the sticker into the corresponding holes on the LuxHer, and then peel off the backing.
If you’re using the manual mode, the first step is holding down LuxHer’s button (image above) for four seconds to turn it on. Then, check with the manual to see which lights correspond to which settings. I didn’t find this information on the website, so ensure you’re checking the QR code. Several modes correspond with different colors, and it can be a bit confusing at first. After you press the button for four seconds, it will light up blue, signaling you’re in Bluetooth mode. You can connect to the app at this point or continue using the button interface. Continue clicking the button to cycle through custom, distance, speed, pulse, and single-user modes with corresponding light colors and varying vibration levels.
If you’re using the app, pair the toy to FeelConnect by pressing the plus button on the home screen. You can alter the vibration, change the LED intensity to suit your preference, and more. Once finished, wash all used parts and store them in the storage bag until next time.

My Personal Experience
When I first unboxed the Luxus Couple Set, I didn’t expect it to be nearly as unique and game-changing as it was. But the joke was on me. This interpretation of a couple’s sex toy set blew my mind. It overcame some obstacles that others have not, and it can be used easily for people with dyspareunia or early ejaculation.
The video and user manual referenced harness compatibility, but I didn’t see anything during the unboxing that would allow the vibrator to fit into a harness. I suspect the harness accessory may only come when you purchase the LuxHer on its own.
One of my chief complaints about this surprisingly satisfying set is the gendered nature of the names. LuxHer and LuxHim are marketed only to cis-gendered people, even though they would work for some trans couples. Let’s modernize, shall we? LuxVibe and LuxRing would be much more inclusive names and not cause undue gender dysphoria in an already beleaguered population.
Packaging
The packaging is excellent. As you can see in the image below, the box is sturdy and full of useful info, and it comes with everything you need to begin except lube.
Design
The design is one of the most thoughtful I can remember using. Many of the couples’ vibrators I have tried with my partner are C-shaped, which clamp vibrations internally and externally around the vulva. They have occasionally worked well for us, but the additional tightness and stimulation could worsen the situation for someone who ejaculates too quickly. Those C-shaped designs are also difficult to wear for someone who has dyspareunia or pain during penetration. This design eliminates the extra tightness and is 100% more comfortable. However, the hands-free capability that the adhesive stickers offer is only available to those people with vulvas who shave their pubic areas. The stickers last between five and fifteen uses, but they send two so you have a backup when the first one loses its grip.
One small design incongruity is that the finger vibe strap goes directly over the button (image above). You’ll need to find a good setting first, put the strap on, and then get started. If you want to change settings, use the app to avoid having to take the vibe apart.
Material
The Luxus is made from body-safe, waterproof silicone that is oh-so-soft. You can feel the luxury in every part of the set.
It also comes with reusable stickers (demonstrated in the image below), which are adhesives that connect with the vibrator. This component is only usable for people with vulvas that are clean-shaven, and that’s not me (#fullbush4eva). However, I tested the sticker on my nearly hairless forearm, primarily because I’m allergic to adhesive. After an hour of wear, I found that it stayed firmly in place, and I didn’t have a rash. I was also pleasantly surprised at how strong the adhesive was, and the vibrator stayed connected to me effortlessly. It didn’t rip out the few hairs on my inner forearm when I removed it, either. Amazing!
Stimulations
The vibrator is decidedly buzzy and light, but the intensities strengthen as you get closer to the cock ring. The two devices’ stimulations correspond in real-time, thanks in part to the magnetic design, which doesn’t allow your Internet connection to interrupt your pleasure in certain modes.
Sound Level
The website claims that the Luxus Couple Set is whisper quiet, but that is a difficult bar to clear. When I tested the sound level, the decibels ranged between 37 and 52. It is quiet compared with similar devices, partially because the vibrations are so light.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build is beautiful, and the dimensions are small, especially for the cock ring, which is slender and stretchy (You can see how it compares size-wise with our other couple sets below). These are perfect for on-the-go pleasure, but you’ll need to keep them in the storage bag while not in use to prevent losing them.
FeelConnect App
The FeelConnect App brings an extra level of customizability to the Luxus. In the app, you can choose between custom, manual, distance, and speed. You can customize the vibration intensity, LED lights, and vibration patterns.
Ease of Use
For a one-button toy, the Luxus Couple Set is complicated to use. Typically, with just one button, I can figure out manual use by myself without help from the instruction manual. This was not the case with the LuxHer. When I first played with it, I tried to turn it on by pressing the button and holding it. It just blinked at me. I tried pushing it briefly. Nothing. So, instead, I turned to the manual to learn more. The settings it has is more than I expected and takes a while to learn. Even when the light isn’t on, the toy still may be, so be careful that you don’t accidentally run out the battery.
The LuxHim and finger strap are easy to clean with warm water and soap. The LuxHer is a bit more complicated since it has holes on the bottom that align with the stickers so you can adhere it to your vulva. I washed it and gave it extra time to dry, which worked well. Beware of dried lube or bodily fluids making a home in those holes and gently use a toothpick if you need to clean it out.
Versatility
The Luxus Couple Set gets many stars for versatility. Both are waterproof, so have sex in the hot tub if you feel like it (and aren’t prone to UTIs.) This set improves coupled sex no matter how you plan on banging it out. It’s comfy as a finger vibe thanks to the strap, makes penetrative sex even more incredible, and you can use it on your own, too. The cock ring works for solo or partnered play, and even though it doesn’t have a motor, it makes erections stronger and orgasms more pleasurable. All that, and I haven’t even gotten to the app yet! The app allows you to create and save your own patterns and have an extra-customizable experience.
Where it lacks versatility is the option to customize it per couple. How much more inclusive would it be if you could order it for a two-vulva couple or a two-penis couple?
Warranty and Support
Kiiroo offers a full refund minus shipping for unopened and unused devices. If there is a defect, they will replace them if you supply adequate proof of faulty workmanship or materials.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
I wish the individual sex toys had more inclusive names rather than LuxHer and LuxHim since this set would work for certain trans and nonbinary couples, too, minus the branding. Further, the vibrations are a little bit light compared to other vibes this size. Lastly, using it manually can be tricky, so check the manual before you begin.

Alternatives to the Luxus Couple Set
Lovense Solace Pro and Mission 2 Couple Set
The Lovense couple set has an incredible app and mimics penetrative sex nearly perfectly for long-distance couples. That’s because it comes with a suction-cup dildo that responds to the depth of insertion. The Solace Pro is a hands-free stroker that attaches to furniture and does the work for you. For long-distance couples longing for a decent penetrative simulation experience, it doesn’t get any better. But for those who need something they can use together and apart, the Luxus Couple Set is the easy choice.

We-Vibe Sync 2
While the We-Vibe Sync 2 isn’t a couple’s set of toys, it is a C-shaped vibrator meant to help people with vulvas climax during penetration. It’s also a fun choice for public play, as you can wear it for a date night out and hand over the included remote control to your partner. However, I wouldn’t use the Sync 2 as a vibe during solo play because the grippy texture that helps it stay in place can also make it occasionally uncomfortable, especially for people who typically have pain during sex. If you have dyspareunia or your partner prematurely ejaculates, the Luxus Couple Set is the better choice.
