I ordered three products from The Natural Love Company, including the Saro, and they all came in one box (each in an individual cotton bag). I love this attention to detail, especially when it can be so easy for a company to make a product that’s environmentally friendly, then package it in a giant plastic box. Plus, I like to keep my toys in drawstring bags anyway, so I really appreciated that they included them.

How Do I Use The Saro?

To use the Saro, simply long press the power button to turn it on, and insert it with a generous portion of lube, lining up the rabbit ears with your clitoris. Then press the button again to cycle through the vibration modes.

The Saro pairs with the Natural Love Company remote controller, which I got along with the Nepeta vibrating egg. While using the button on the toy itself wasn’t as much of a hassle as it can be with some toys (looking at you, Seahorse Siren), I found it was easier to use when paired with the remote controller. My Personal Experience

Packaging

Again, I love the way The Natural Love Company included all the toys in my order in one box, with each one wrapped in a PLA and cornstarch bag within a cotton drawstring bag.

Design

As with the Nepeta, my one issue with this toy was the design. But it was a pretty big issue. Some people might love it, and more power to them, but the fact that it was widest at the insertion point made it uncomfortable to slide in. I much prefer sex toys with a tapered design, even if they flare out more towards the bottom. I can’t really call it a design flaw, I just didn’t like it for myself.

Material

The interior of the Saro is made with recycled ocean plastics, and the exterior is made from the soft, smooth silicone we all know and love. If you didn’t know that this product was made from recycled materials, you would never guess that it was made any differently from other sex toys.

One potential downside is that the Saro doesn’t have any squish to it, like a lot of silicone toys. Again, it’s a matter of personal taste, but personally, I didn’t love the lack of flexibility and squishiness.

Stimulations

I admit, I rolled my eyes a little when I read the description of the Saro on the company’s website: “…A classic rabbit vibrator, yes, but Saro is SO much more than that” and “Picture the scene, Saro’s silky soft shaft…glides into your vagina, you let out a deep moan as the fluttering rabbit ears get just close enough to your clit to start to gently hum against it…” I mean, shoutout to whoever wrote that in terms of creativity—I’d love to find their AO3 account—but I thought it was a bit silly. Until I actually tried out the Saro for myself…

First off, how is the Saro “SO much more” than the average rabbit vibrator? Well, it does one thing I’ve never seen a rabbit vibrator do; some of the pattern functions make the internal dildo and the external attachment take turns vibrating. So, instead of being overwhelmed by both the sensations at once, the sensations alternating feel incredible. While there are some vibrators that allow you to control the internal and external parts separately, there’s no way a person could have them switch off that quickly. It’s definitely a unique feature that does indeed make it so much more than a regular vibrator (though the capitalized “SO” might be a bit of an exaggeration).

Okay, now for the second part of the description. When I saw the words “the fluttering rabbit ears get just close enough to your clit to start to gently hum against it”, I figured this toy would not be for me. When it comes to external pleasure, I like to really grind up against the object in question, so the idea of something gently humming against me seemed…frustrating, to say the least. And indeed, the external attachment is positioned to rest very gently on the clit. What the descriptions leave out, however, is just how powerful the motor is. Believe me, that hum is nowhere near “gentle” (and if it is, I don’t want to know what an aggressive hum would feel like), and was more than satisfying! If external pleasure is your favorite, this toy will not disappoint.

Sound Level

The Saro is not obnoxiously loud by any means, but it isn’t super quiet either.

Build Quality and Dimensions

With a total length of 7.8 inches and a width of 2 inches, this isn’t a petite toy, but there’s no reason it should be. As someone who doesn’t travel very much, I don’t have a need for pocket-sized toys, and its size makes it feel more durable. The quality is obvious, and as with all Natural Love Company products, their environmentally friendly materials do not detract from the overall quality of the toy. While it is expensive, there is something to be said for investing in a few really good toys as opposed to collecting and forgetting about a big collection.

Ease of Use

Aside from the discomfort of inserting it (again, a different design would have made this a favorite), this toy was very easy to use. It was also easy to pair with the comparable remote controller.

Versatility

This toy provides internal and external vibes equally well, which is a plus for any rabbit toy. The ability to pair it with the remote control also makes it a good option for partner play, especially with those unique vibration patterns.

This rabbit is waterproof, so it’s safe to take in the bath, for those days when a bath bomb just isn’t enough to relieve the tension.
