6 Best Eco-Friendly Sex Toys [Video Demonstration]

When you hear the words “Eco-friendly”, what do you think of? Your friend who wears open-toe Birkenstocks on hikes and eats protein bars that taste like cardboard? Cleaning products that don’t quite do the trick and smell kind of funky? A vague, existential feeling of guilt that you aren’t doing enough that then gets sublimated into thinking that people who do more than you are completely insufferable (no one else? Just me? Okay…)? Well, what you’re probably not thinking of are sex toys, let alone really good ones. But actually, there are quite a few out there. And that’s just what we’re taking a look at today!
What’s great about eco-friendly sex toys is that they are genuinely good, eco-friendly or not. So, there’s no need to sacrifice quality for showing some care for the environment. Because really, buying an eco-friendly product, hating it, and immediately replacing it with something else is probably the least environmentally friendly option.
One product that you won’t want to replace anytime soon is the Cassia, by The Natural Love Company. Its sleek design gives new meaning to the word “versatile”, to the point where I would absolutely recommend it to someone who only wants one toy in their collection. It’s good for the environment, it’s great for your body—I can’t rave about this product enough. They say there’s no such thing as perfection, but Cassia isn’t too far off…
Why You Should Trust Us
Hi, I am Becky V. Sexual wellness for everyone is something I’m passionate about, and I’m dedicated to keeping you informed about the newest and best products to make your sex life even better. With so many options out there, it can be overwhelming to choose the perfect ones, so I’m here to make those decisions at least a little bit easier.
Integrity is important to us here at My Sex Toy Guide. We buy each and every review sample with our own money, and we never accept free products in exchange for a positive review. We also want to be transparent about our business model. While we depend on affiliate commissions, we would never give a favorable review to a product just because it offers a higher payout. Every item on this list is included for one very reason: it’s genuinely among the very best.
1. The Natural Love Company Cassia: Overall Test Winner!

Why I Love The Natural Love Company Cassia:
The Cassia is made from recycled ocean plastics, as opposed to virgin plastics, meaning it’s much more environmentally friendly than your average toy. Besides, virginity is an outdated social construct anyway. The outside is made of soft, smooth silicone, meaning it feels like a normal vibrator, with no strange textures or downgrade in quality.
The great thing about the Cassia, though, is that its environmentally friendly credentials are the least interesting thing about it. What makes it so fantastic is the design. On one end is a wand vibrator, and on the other is a dildo. Unlike a lot of “versatile” toys that are effectively a dildo you can press up against your clit, this one truly does work equally well internally and externally. Plus, the combination of the size and the way it’s designed means that the vibrations don’t rumble against your hand too much as you use it. Just looking at it, I was worried that holding it would be a little awkward, especially when using it internally, but it really isn’t. It truly feels like you’re using a regular (well, above-average) wand or dildo.

It’s also easy to use. With two toys Frankenstein-ed together, I was sure there would be a complicated button system. After all, plenty of companies have trouble coming up with an intuitive button system with only one function. However, the Cassia makes it work. It only has two buttons, one pointing toward the wand, one pointing toward the dildo, and the buttons control the corresponding feature of the toy. Plus, you have to long press each button to turn it on, so even though the buttons are close together, there’s a very slim chance of accidentally turning on the wrong end of the eco-friendly sex toy.
A great design is one thing, but how are the actual vibrations? Glad you asked, because they are also amazing! It has 10 vibration modes in all, and once you move past the increasing vibration speeds, the patterns are really unique, something I came to appreciate in all the Natural Love Company products I tried. I feel like pattern variation isn’t the kind of thing you fully appreciate until you come across a product that does it extremely well.

If you want to be truly environmentally friendly and limit your sex toy collection to a grand total of one product, and you know you like both internal and external pleasure, then Cassia would be a great choice. Its dual functionality and environmentally friendly materials do not mean you’d be making any sacrifices in terms of quality. And if you’re adding to an already sizable collection, it will quickly become one of the stars. That was originally an astronomy joke, but then I remembered that the constellation is Cassiopeia, but regardless, this eco-friendly sex toy is still a shining star in the constellation of your collection.
Minor issues I found during testing:
I didn’t have any issues with the Cassia.

2. Blush Gaia Eco Love: Our Budget Pick!

Why I Love The Blush Gaia Eco Love:
Inside the Gaia Eco Love is a vibrating bullet made of BioFeel, a plant-based bioplastic. This material uses less energy and requires fewer greenhouse gases to produce. That’s all great, but a tiny, plastic-y bullet wouldn’t be a very good sex toy on its own, would it? Don’t worry, this little bullet is encased in a sleeve made of an equally environmentally friendly material, BipTouch. BioTouch is a sustainable and naturally harvested rubber, and it’s enveloped in Ultrasilk, which feels just like soft, smooth, flexible silicone.
If you like a lot of power right on your clit (and who doesn’t sometimes), this is a great eco-friendly sex toy for you. While the vibrations are somewhat softened by the outer material, they are still very intense, and the ergonomic design allows for some pinpoint precision, as well as some grinding, depending on which part of the toy you want to use.

The Gaia Eco Love has 10 vibration modes in all. The first five simply increase the intensity (which already starts pretty high), and the other five are different patterns. The three Blush products I tested all used the same vibration patterns, which range from “intensify” to “pulse”, and while five patterns aren’t a lot, it was easy for me to find the one I liked the best.
With its sleek design, including a fin to put between your fingers, I can imagine this toy being a great option for partner play. It’s easy to use, feels great to the touch, and is eco-friendly. That’s pretty good for a sex toy under $40.

Minor issues I found during testing:
My only issue was in not being able to press the button while holding it by the fin. A little design tweak in an otherwise lovely toy would have gone a long way. Also, the vibrations are powerful enough that it gives you a hand massage as well as a clit massage. That’s not exactly the kind of versatility I want in a sex toy.

Features:
- BioFeel bullet vibrator on the inside
- BioTouch soft rubber on the outside
- 10 vibration modes
- Waterproof
- Ergonomic design
Pros:
- BioTouch sleeve feels just like soft silicone
- Design is great for pinpoint precision
- Neither too small nor too bulky
- Strong vibrations
Cons:
- Vibrations can be a little too intense and travel up to the hand
- Can’t press the button while holding it properly
3. Womanizer Premium Eco: Best Eco-Friendly Clit Sucker!

Why I Love The Womanizer Premium Eco:
The Womanizer Premium Eco is true to its name—it’s an eco-friendly, cheaper version of one of their most popular toys, The Premium. So, it’s both “Eco” as in eco-friendly, and economical!
What makes this an eco-friendly sex toy is that it’s made from biodegradable materials, namely Biolene. The handle part feels like rigid plastic, but it has the same silicone heads as the rest of the Womanizer lineup, so the overall experience is still the same. It also has a replaceable battery as well as a charger, meaning it will last far longer than the average toy.

The Premium Eco uses Womanizer’s “Pleasure Air” technology, and if you haven’t experienced it, it is…incredible. The sensations on this toy are intense, but not unusably so. It also has 12 intensity levels, so you can find the one that works best for you. Clit suckers are my favorite type of toy, so I’m happy there’s a sustainable alternative on the market.
It also uses their Smart Silence technology, making it a discreet option as well. With Smart Silence, Premium Eco will automatically turn off when it isn’t touching your skin, then will spring back to life when it is. So, if someone is walking by your room or you’re worried they’ll walk in on you to investigate “that strange buzzing noise” (yes, I speak from experience), you can simply lift the Womanizer a couple of centimeters, and the buzzing will stop.

Minor issues I found during testing:
Unfortunately, this toy felt like a bit of a drop in quality compared to the regular Premium. It doesn’t have an autopilot mode (one of my favorite Womanizer features), and while it’s splash-proof, it isn’t waterproof. It also simply doesn’t look and feel as luxurious.
If you want to see what Womanizer Premium Eco looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:
Features:
- 12 intensity levels
- Rechargeable, exchangeable battery
- Made from recyclable materials, like biodegradable Biolene
- Pleasure Air Technology
- Smart Silence mode saves battery
- Two sizes of suction heads
Pros:
- Lots of eco-friendly design choices, from the materials to the Smart Silence mode
- Womanizer’s Pleasure Air Technology always feels incredible
Cons:
- Not waterproof
- No rhythms or patterns to try
- Short charging cord
- Feels less high-quality than other Womanizer toys
- The Premium was featured in that Katy Perry music video (you know the one I mean), so it may cause you secondhand embarrassment whenever you use it.
4. The Natural Love Company Nepeta: Best Eco-Friendly Egg!

Why I Love The Nepeta:
As with the Cassia above, the Nepeta is made of recycled ocean plastic, meaning no plastic was produced in order to make it. It’s a great idea, and doesn’t impact its performance at all. The outside of the eco- friendly sex toy still feels like soft, smooth silicone—an important feature in a vibrating egg!
In fact, the Nepeta is about as good as an egg toy gets! It’s remote controlled up to 5 meters, and is genuinely quiet enough to be used for some sneaky public play, if that’s what you’re into. I’ve tried my share of egg vibrators that are confusingly loud, and/or are attached to their controller (which can’t be considered a remote control at that point), but this one is a genuine option if you want to use an egg out in public. While Nepeta isn’t whisper silent, you should be able to use it on public transportation or in a crowded restaurant or bar without attracting any undue attention.

I really liked the vibration modes on Nepeta. They weren’t too weak or too strong (I have experienced both, and neither is fun), and the patterns were unique and fun to try out. I know some people just want a steady vibration that they can increase or decrease the intensity of, but that just doesn’t do it for me. I need patterns to get me going, and Natural Love Company came through!
I’ve tried a lot of egg toys in my time, and another area where this one really excels is in the remote itself. It’s small and discreet enough to fit in a pocket or a purse, unlike some gigantic ones I’ve seen. Plus, it’s comparable with other toys, which really came in handy for the next toy on this list…

Minor issues I found during testing:
The egg itself was a little big and unwieldy. While this may be great for some people, I found it difficult to walk around with the Nepeta inside me.
If you want to see what Nepeta looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:
Features:
- Remote-controlled (up to 5 meters)
- 10 vibration patterns
- Waterproof
- Quiet
Pros:
- 10 unique vibration modes
- Remote control works up to 5 meters away
- Discreet enough for sneaky public play
- Vibration modes are not too weak or too strong
Cons:
- Size and shape might not be comfortable for a lot of people
- Only comes in one color
5. The Natural Love Company Saro: Best Eco-Friendly Rabbit!

Why I Love The Natural Love Company Saro:
Like with the other Natural Love Company products, the Saro is made from recycled ocean plastics, making it a much more green option than most toys. And like the other products, its green credentials are by far the least special thing about it…
While most rabbit vibrators, including some of my favorites, have one motor that controls both the internal and external components (for those not in the know, a rabbit toy is comprised of a dildo with a set of “ears” coming out of it to provide external stimulation at the same time). The Saro, however, has a motor for each. I’ve raved about unique patterns on the other two Natural Love Company toys, but the Saro is where this creativity really shines! While some of the patterns do control both the dildo and the ears at the same time, some of the patterns involve the ears buzzing for a few beats, then the dildo buzzing for a few beats. These unexpected patterns really made Saro a standout and so much fun to experiment with to find just the right one that did it for me.

A common problem I have with rabbit vibrators is awkward button placement. I am extraordinarily uncoordinated, so in trying to hit the button, I end up knocking the rabbit ears out of alignment, and have to rotate the whole toy around to get it right where I want it. Not ideal! But I was able to pair the Saro with the remote control from the Nepeta, and it was a game-changer! You can purchase the remote control separately, and I would highly recommend doing so if you’ve also struggled with awkward button placements in the past.
While the vibrations were strong (especially the external ones), they weren’t uncomfortable by any means. The design is also gorgeous, with the bug-looking external component emerging from the dildo part of Saro. It’s pretty enough to make you a little sad that it’s not socially acceptable to show off your new eco-friendly sex toys to all your friends and family.

Minor issues I found during testing:
My only issue with Saro was in the design. Yes, the design looks lovely, but I found the head of the dildo to be a bit big and uncomfortable. It’s widest at the insertion point, and as someone who’s struggled with vaginal pain before and therefore loves a nicely tapered tip, inserting this toy was not ideal. The insertable diameter is 1.6”, which is a lot to just stick inside yourself, as far as I’m concerned. But some people might love that feature, so bear that in mind.
If you want to see what the Saro looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:
Features:
- Made of recycled ocean plastics
- 10 vibration modes
- Waterproof
- Remote control compatible (remote not included)
Pros:
- 10 unique vibration modes satisfy both internally and externally
- Environmentally friendly materials don’t detract from the experience
- Beautiful, sleek design
Cons:
- Design of the shaft might be uncomfortable for some bodies
- Only available in one color
6. Blush Gaia Eco Vibrator: Beginner-Friendly!

Why I Love The Blush Gaia Eco Vibrator:
The Blush Gaia Eco Vibrator feels a little bit basic, but the materials used to make it are anything but. It’s made from BioFeel, which is a plant-based bioplastic that makes the toy biodegradable. The BioFeel feels just like regular plastic, making it harder and firmer than a silicone toy.
After trying Gaia Eco, I was delighted by how slim it was, especially with its tapered tip. If you want some pinpoint precision, this is the toy for you! I also loved the overall color scheme. It’s blue with little flecks of brown, making it look like a bird’s egg. I appreciate that they didn’t just make it a soft pink and call it a day.

The vibration intensities on Gaia Eco are controlled by a dial on the bottom, and that’s another thing, besides the small diameter, that makes it a good choice for beginners. With the dial option, you can really customize it to be at just the right intensity you’re comfortable with, instead of having to press buttons that cycle through every intensity level.
This vibe can also be used externally, as well as internally. While I didn’t love the hard, plastic feel of this vibe internally, externally, I liked being able to grind up against it without it bending away from me.

Minor issues I found during testing:
Unfortunately, the dial on the bottom of the environmentally-friendly sex toy was not easy to use. In fact, I…wasn’t able to use it. Once I got it on, it was too slippery and smooth (especially with lube on my hands) that I couldn’t turn it off! I had to slide it out while it was still buzzing. It actually felt kind of nice, if I’m being honest, but not being able to turn off a toy when I want to is a pretty sizable design flaw. A notched texture on the dial would have gone a long way to making this one more usable.
If you want to see what the Blush Gaia Eco Vibrator looks like and how to use it, please watch our unboxing and demonstration video below:
Features:
- Recyclable
- Made of bioplastic
- Multispeed vibrations
- Can be used internally and externally
- Splashproof
Pros:
- Slim size makes it comfortable to use both internally and externally
- Extremely low price
Cons:
- Dial is hard to use
- Battery powered
- Bioplastic material feels just like regular plastic (aka…a little cheap)
And One To Avoid
Remember in the Gaia Eco Love section of this review when I said that a tiny, plastic-y bullet wouldn’t be a very good sex toy on its own? Well, that was some clever foreshadowing on my part, because I was describing the Gaia Eco Bullet. Yeah, this is just the bullet that went inside the Eco Love, but…sold as its own toy. As you can imagine, the tiny size means that the vibrations are a little too intense, especially on your hand, which then gets compounded by the fact that there’s no comfortable way to hold it! Do yourself a favor and give this one a miss. You’ll really be…dodging a bullet!
Happy vibing!
Becky
