Key Takeaways

3 out of 5 stars3 out of 5 stars

I’ve reviewed plenty of rabbit vibrators on this site, so I am very familiar with the difficulties inherent to using them. They can be awkward to angle just right, and you often have to sacrifice external pleasure for internal pleasure (or vice versa). And the Snail Curve really does a lot to mitigate those problems. With its flexible, rolling, and curved external stimulator, it stays right on your clitoris, no matter what you’re doing with the internal dildo. And it’s more than just an improved rabbit vibrator—it has plenty of other little details that make it a great toy. Plus, the fact that the internal and external components can be controlled independently, and both have the ability to control the intensity? Definitely makes the SVibe Snail Curve a top-tier toy.

However, the Snail Curve definitely won’t be for everyone. The internal dildo isn’t curved enough to provide targeted G-spot stimulation, and the downside of the rolling external component is that it’s much too wide to provide any pinpoint pleasure to the clitoris. While the flexibility of the external rolling snail shell made it easy to have continuous stimulation, it was hard to really press up against it. So, if you need a product that provides intense, pinpoint pleasure, or even a stiff surface to grind up against, this is not the one for you. Another issue was that the buttons were a bit stiff and difficult to press.

Who Should Try It? If you love both internal and external stimulation, this is a great vibrator to get. It’s definitely an improvement over your average rabbit vibe, so if you’ve been disappointed in rabbits in the past, I would absolutely recommend checking this one out. With its relatively small (1.26”) insertable diameter, the Snail Curve is also beginner-friendly, if you want to really invest in a great first toy.

Who Can Skip It? If you need targeted pleasure—internal or external—to really get you going, this will not be the toy for you. The internal component isn’t curved enough to quite get to the G-spot (at least in my case), and the external component is much too broad to pinpoint the clitoris.

You Can Buy It on the official SVibe website for $149.

What Is The Snail Curve?

The Snail Curve by SVibe is a rabbit-style sex toy, meaning it has an internal dildo with a clitoral vibrator attached. Designed so that the rolling snail “shell” never loses contact with the clitoris, it has the edge over most rabbit toys, which require a lot of fumbling around to align them just right.

The packagingThe packaging

The Snail Curve also has dual motors, meaning you can control the internal and external components independently. Each has 5 patterns to choose from, as well as 5 levels of intensity, so it’s easy to find your perfect vibe.

First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

The box the Snail Curve comes in is huge, but luckily it has a dedicated case that’s much smaller (image below). The hard-shell case is really great. It has the company’s swirl logo on the front, as well as on the zippers. And the logo is discreet enough that if someone comes upon this toy, they won’t immediately know what it is.

As you can see in the image below, the case also has Velcro loops designed to keep both the toy and the charger in place. It’s true that at this price point, one should expect an amazing display, but I still appreciate it.

How Do I Use The Snail Curve?

  1. First, charge up the Snail Curve with the included charging cable. The LED light will pulse as it’s charging, then glow steady when it’s ready to come out of its shell, so to speak.
  2. The Snail Curve has two sets of buttons, each with a + symbol and an S symbol. To turn on the internal vibrator, press and hold either the + or S button on the top set of buttons for 3 seconds. To increase the intensity, press the + button, and to change the pattern, press the S button.
  3. In order to control the internal vibe, do the same with the bottom set of buttons. To turn off either component, press and hold either the + or S button on the corresponding button set.
  4. SVibe has specific instructions on how to use this product, starting with using the internal stimulator as a wand, but as with any toy, it’s really up to you. If you want to use it as a rabbit toy, simply insert the dildo and put the swirling shell against your clitoris. As you move the toy, it will roll along with your body, not losing the clitoris in the process.

My Personal Experience

Design

The design of the Snail Curve is the thing about it that stands out the most. Touted as an upgraded version of a rabbit vibrator, I do agree that this toy avoids many of the pitfalls of a normal rabbit. The rolling external stimulator was easier to place than the “ears” of a traditional rabbit toy, and it wasn’t difficult to get it to stay in place. Plus, I liked the added texture of the little ridges.

However, this toy definitely won’t be for everyone. So, if you need a toy that provides intense, pinpoint pleasure, or even a stiff surface to grind up against, this is not the one for you.

Material

The silicone is very soft and smooth. It isn’t particularly squishy or flexible (except the rolling part), though, probably due to its dual motors.

Stimulations

I love a sex toy with customizable options, so this one is a real winner in my book! The internal and external components can be controlled independently of each other, and each has 5 vibration patterns and 5 intensities. That’s a lot of combinations to try out! The stimulations never got too intense, but there was still a wide range from the least to the most powerful settings.

Sound Level

The Snail Curve is very quiet, so while its size doesn’t make it a discreet travel toy, if you’re in a bedroom with thin walls, you should be fine.

Build Quality and Dimensions

For $179, I expect a toy to be extremely high quality, and the Snail Curve did not disappoint. While the design has its drawbacks and won’t appeal to everyone, it was clearly very intentionally designed and well-engineered. It’s not like any sex toy I’ve ever seen, yet its design is intuitive. At 10.63 inches, it is quite long, but I didn’t find it unusably big. Its insertable diameter is a slim 1.26 inches, making it comfortable to use, but not the best choice if you’re a size queen.

Ease of Use

Despite its strange-looking design, the Snail Curve is very easy to use in terms of getting everything lined up with your parts. The button system is intuitive once you get used to which button pair controls which component of the toy. My only problem using it is that the buttons were a little stiff and required quite a bit of pressure to press them:

Versatility

This is a very versatile toy, since it can really be used any way you want. If you’re all about external pleasure, the dildo part can be used as an external want, and you can use the round part on its own. With all its patterns, there are plenty of ways to explore. Plus, it’s waterproof, so you can take this snail in the bath.

Warranty and Support

The Snail Curve has a 2-year warranty.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

My main issue with the Snail Curve was that the external part didn’t offer a lot of precision and some of the patterns made it feel like it was shaking my clit around rather than providing targeted stimulation (flashbacks to the Riana). Same goes for the G-spot—the toy just wasn’t curved enough to specifically stimulate that already elusive erogenous zone. Another issue I had was that the control buttons were a bit stiff and difficult to press.

Alternatives to the Snail Curve

Seahorse Siren Vibrator

The Seahorse Siren is a funky-looking vibrator with more of a traditional rabbit design, but unlike the Snail Curve, it has a very wide internal diameter, and it’s very powerful. It also has a warming feature! So, if you’re in the market for a gastropod-themed rabbit toy, but the Snail Curve doesn’t seem totally appealing, that’s one to check out instead.

We-Vibe Nova 2

If you want a rabbit toy, but for some bizarre reason don’t want it to remind you of a garden pest, the We-Vibe Nova 2 is a much more traditional toy than the Snail Curve, while still having the ability to control the dual motors separately, as well as adjust the intensity.
