Satisfyer Cutie GhostSatisfyer Cutie Ghost Review – My Sex Toy GuideThe Satisfyer Cutie Ghost promises to give you some spook-tacular sensations with its combination of air pulses and vibrations.

Is this the ghost with the most, or did I just want to ghost it? Read my review of the Cutie Ghost to find out.

Key Takeaways

3.5 out of 5 stars3.5 out of 5 stars

While the pressure waves on Cutie Ghost were perfectly fine, the vibration setting left a lot to be desired, since the design didn’t send those good vibrations where they needed to go. Also, the interface was not super intuitive, though I did appreciate the 11 intensity levels for the pulsations and 12 intensities for the vibrations. That way, if you enjoy the vibrations, you can find just the right combination that works for you.

Who Should Try It? If you really like clitoral pleasure that comes from pressure waves (or really want to try a product that has that feature), Cutie Ghost is definitely a good option. The pulsations aren’t too intense at the lower levels, so this toy absolutely works if you like a smooth, slow buildup.

Who Can Skip It? If you’re here for the vibrations, Cutie Ghost is not the toy for you. Unless you want to use it as a really cute hand massager.

You Can Buy It on the official Satisfyer website for $55.27.

What Is The Satisfyer Cutie Ghost?

The Satisfyer Cutie Ghost is a ghost-shaped (supposedly—to me it looks more like a seal or a manatee) clitoral vibrator that provides both vibrations and air pulsations to stimulate your erogenous zones.

First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

I liked the packaging on this sex toy…at first. The box is nice, with a picture of the Ghost and information about it on the sides. I also appreciated the hygiene seal and the way it unfolded when it opened. However, both the charging cable and the instruction manual were wrapped in plastic packaging, which seemed unnecessary, not to mention wasteful:

The content of the boxThe content of the box

The box doesn’t really lean into the “Cutie” (or even spooky) aspect of the toy, so I feel like there was a bit of a mismatch between the box and the toy itself. The box even says, “Cute & playful design”—I feel like a cute and playful design on the box itself could have conveyed that idea a bit better.

How Do I Use The Satisfyer Cutie Ghost?

  1. First, charge up your ghost with the included charging cable. A flashing light will indicate that the toy is charging, and will glow steadily when it is ready for some ghostly antics.
  2. As with any toy that relies on air pressure, placement is very important. Put some water-based lube around the rim of the ghost’s “mouth” before placing it around your clitoris. Make sure that it’s pressed firmly enough that it creates a seal around your clit and air can’t escape.
  3. Press the power (middle) button to turn on the air pressure feature. Keep pressing the power button to increase the intensity, and press the bottom button (with the double lines) to decrease the intensity of the air pulses.
  4. To add in some vibrations, long hold the top button (the one that looks like a sideways S). The first 5 vibration modes are regular vibrations that increase in speed, and the other 7 are patterns. Since this toy has dual motors, the vibrations can be used in tandem with the pulsations, or separately. To turn off the pulsations, hold down the power button, and to turn off the vibrations, long hold the top button again.

My Personal Experience

Design

The design of the Cutie Ghost is indeed cute and playful. Though to me, it looks less like a ghost and more like an aquatic mammal of some sort (maybe even a penguin?). The toy fit perfectly in my hand, which is always appreciated when it comes to a clit vibe that requires some precision. My only issue with the design was with the vibration mode. Since the lips of the toy are meant to surround the clitoris, the vibrations don’t actually make contact with your clit, giving you a nice hand massage, but not much else. I love to grind up against vibrating toys, so this one left me a little frustrated in that regard.

I also personally prefer it when the “lips” of toys like this protrude a little more. When the lips are almost flat against the rest of the toy, I find it harder to get them into just the right spot. Though in terms of design, that would look more like a duck than a ghost. Or maybe a ghost making a duckface?

The button system was a little bit confusing, and I wish they had either gone with a simpler design, or done a better job of explaining how to use it in the manual, or a video on their website.

The suction mouthThe suction mouth

Material

One small nitpick I had about Cutie Ghost was the “see-through” design. The toy has a double layer of silicone, with the top, clear layer providing a nice and ghostly effect. However, there appeared to be some visible discoloration on the layer beneath it. Obviously that’s not an issue in terms of functionality, but when it comes to vibrators that use their looks as a primary selling point, I am a little overly critical of these things.

That said, the silicone does feel very nice, and the toy feels great in the hand.

Stimulations

I did really like the air pulsations on Cutie Ghost, and if that was its only feature, I would have rated it higher. However, the vibrations were included, and I found them a little lacking. Think about it: if a toy that relies on air pulsations doesn’t actually make contact with the clit (since the pulsations are doing all the work), then when that toy starts to vibrate…it’s not vibrating on your clit. Instead, it’s vibrating around your clit and in your hand. Whether used on its own or in tandem with the air pressure, I was not impressed.

With that said, I did appreciate the fact that it has so many stimulations to choose from, with the 11 intensities for the pulsations and 12 modes for the vibrations (why it wasn’t 12 and 12, I don’t know).

The control buttonsThe control buttons

Sound Level

I found Cutie Ghost very quiet, especially the air pressure waves. Vibrations will always create some noise, but even on the vibration mode, it was pretty quiet.

Build Quality and Dimensions

With a length of 3.6 inches and a height of 2.7 inches, this toy is adorably small without limiting its functionality at all.  It feels very high-quality, and despite my issues with the button layout, once I got the hang of how to use them, the buttons were responsive and easy to reach.

The device chargingThe device charging

Ease of Use

I found the button interface a little confusing, and the manual didn’t help much. Also, this is a personal preference, but when I use a toy that relies on air pressure to stimulate my clit, I prefer it to have a lip that protrudes a lot more, since it helps me get it in just the right spot. However, once I figured out the button system and got the toy in the right place, it went very smoothly, and I was able to enjoy my ghostly experience.

Versatility

While the air pulses on this toy were great, the vibrations…not so much. On a different toy, they could have been perfectly nice, but on a toy designed not to touch your clitoris directly, the vibrations missed the mark, so to speak.

This toy is IPX7 waterproof, so this ghost can haunt your bathtub.

Warranty and Support

The Cutie Ghost comes with a 15-year warranty, which is very impressive!

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

My main issues with Cutie Ghost were the confusing button layout and the disappointing vibration setting. Though I will say again that I need to really grind up against a vibrating toy to fully enjoy it, so the lack of direct vibrations might not be a problem for everyone.

Alternatives to the Cutie Ghost

Lovense Fizz

If you’re tired of basic vibes, but want to show your clit all kinds of love, the Lovense Fizz might be your best bet. It’s a dual-sided vibe, but instead of one side being for internal pleasure, both sides are dedicated to keeping your clit happy. One side has a clitoral tapping function, the other has a suction function.

The Womanizer Enhance

If you like the idea of the Cutie Ghost’s dual motors/functions, but just don’t love the design, the Womanizer Enhance could be the thing to, well, enhance your bedside drawer. This suction toy provides vibrations as well, and according to their website, 100% of their testers had an orgasm while using it.
