My Personal Experience

Lovense fan that I am, I already own a Lush 4 and a Gush 2. I was happy to find that these toys tested comparably to the ones I had received a while ago. Finding brand consistency in an industry as unregulated as the sex toy market is kind of like stumbling upon a unicorn. I was not shocked, but pleasantly surprised to find an almost exact replica of the decibels and battery life, despite receiving these so much later. One thing I did take issue with is the name: the Lovense Lover Set. Yes, it’s a set, but only heterosexual couples will be able to use it to its potential. I say this often when dealing with sex toy sets and advent calendars, but there should be an option to choose a kit that will work for lesbian and gay couples.

I was pleased by the design and color combination of the blindfold, cuffs, and tickler. There was no polarizing pink except on the packaging; it’s just black, gold, and silver, wearable for people of any gender. And before anyone writes off the feather tickler as a throwaway inclusion, let me disabuse you of that notion. This is the best feather tickler I’ve ever tried. It’s elegant and surprising. It may just be my favorite part.  But I was also surprised by the blindfold. It’s comfortable and the most form-fitting one I’ve tested to date. I didn’t love the branding on the front, which detracted from its elegance, but it was comfortable and effective.
