The Lovense Lover Set is meant for hetero couples who want to dive into a high-tech sex toy set with both feet. Yes, it’s pricy, but what you get for less than $300 is surprising: six top-of-the-line sex enhancement aids. The penis and vaginal vibes are compatible with the incomparable Lovense app, making them ready for public play or long-distance thrills. Let’s find out whether this sex toy kit stands up to scrutiny and is worth the price in this review.
Key Takeaways

The Lovense Lover Set isn’t just a modern, thoughtfully curated sex toy set; it is also a phenomenal deal. For the price of the two main devices, the Gush 2 and Lush 4, you receive a blindfold, cuffs, a stroker, and a tickler. It’s perfect for beginner bondage play, divine for long-distance couples, delightful for public play, and an extravagant gift for a pair who are new to sex toys.
Who Should Try It? If you don’t mind the price and don’t have many sex toys, this is the perfect buy for a heterosexual couple. Bonus points if you’re long-distance.
Who Can Skip It? Skip this if you already have some of the items, aren’t a part of a penis-and-vagina-having couple, or won’t use the app. The app is what gives this kit so much versatility and makes it worth every penny. Further, if you or your partner needs clitoral stimulation, the G-spot vibrator’s tail won’t do the trick.
You Can Buy It on the official Lovense website for $249.
What Is The Lovense Lover Set?
The Lovense Lover Set is a sumptuous sex toy set, bringing pleasure and sensory play to heterosexual couples everywhere. The penis massager and egg vibrator are wearable, app-compatible, and perfect for long-distance connection. The other accoutrements include cuffs, a feather tickler, a blindfold, and a Kraken masturbation stroker. This gift set helps new couples learn about each other’s bodies, or it can help long-term couples rediscover foreplay and flirtation.

First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
The unboxing was gorgeous and not far off from an Advent calendar. Everything is organized in a separate neon pink box, so you could open a “gift” every day for six days if you wanted. Or you could do what I did: rip them open at top speed.

Here’s what comes in the kit:
- A penis massager (Gush 2)
- A G-spot egg vibrator (Lush 4)
- A silver blindfold
- Two sturdy cuffs
- A kraken masturbator
- A feather tickler
- A sample packet of water-based lubricant
Something that was notably missing from the unboxing experience is a storage bag. Fortunately, the box it arrives in is sturdy enough for storage. Just ensure that you place the two silicone vibes back in their boxes before putting them together in the larger box. Silicone toys should never be stored touching, as the silicone-on-silicone action can degrade their body-safe exteriors. For the price, a gift bag would have been a nice touch, but I’ll let that go since the box works for storage.

The Lovense Lover Set has lovely features, including:

- Beginner’s bondage accessories, like a blindfold and cuffs
- Synchronized, hands-free, long-distance sensations

The Lovense Lover Set specifications at a glance:

How Do I Use the Lovense Lover Set?
Start by unboxing the set, either all at once or over a few days. Charge the Lush 4 and the Gush 2. Assemble the feather tickler by screwing the top into the bottom. Try on the blindfold. Discuss who is getting cuffed and who’s cuffing, and while you’re at it, agree on a safe word. Then, wash the Lush 4, Gush 2, and Kraken masturbator, if using.

Use the water-based lubricant sample packet, and put it on your genitals, your partner’s genitals, and whichever sex toy you’ll be using on those genitals. Consider cuffing your partner’s hands together for a power exchange experience and light bondage play. Decide who will wear the blindfold, which can heighten your other senses. If you’re not with your partner, use the Lovense app to connect virtually. Update the app to ensure you have the latest, greatest security enhancements and game additions.
When finished, wash the Lush 4, Gush 2, and Kraken masturbator. Wash anything that was in the splash zone, for that matter. Then store them in a makeup bag or the container in which they arrived.
My Personal Experience
Lovense fan that I am, I already own a Lush 4 and a Gush 2. I was happy to find that these toys tested comparably to the ones I had received a while ago. Finding brand consistency in an industry as unregulated as the sex toy market is kind of like stumbling upon a unicorn. I was not shocked, but pleasantly surprised to find an almost exact replica of the decibels and battery life, despite receiving these so much later. The Gush 2’s packaging has changed, but not much else.
One thing I did take issue with is the name: the Lovense Lover Set. Yes, it’s a set, but only heterosexual couples will be able to use it to its potential. I say this often when dealing with sex toy sets and advent calendars, but there should be an option to choose a kit that will work for lesbian and gay couples.

I was pleased by the design and color combination of the blindfold, cuffs, and tickler. There was no polarizing pink except on the packaging; it’s just black, gold, and silver, wearable for people of any gender. And before anyone writes off the feather tickler as a throwaway inclusion, let me disabuse you of that notion. This is the best feather tickler I’ve ever tried. It’s elegant and surprising. It may just be my favorite part. But I was also surprised by the blindfold. It’s comfortable and the most form-fitting one I’ve tested to date. I didn’t love the branding on the front, which detracted from its elegance, but it was comfortable and effective.
My favorite part was the Kraken masturbator. I love Krakens, and this was such a cute addition. The inside is textured with tridents, a perfect addition to the theme. My partner and I were over the moon to receive inspiration for Cthulhu-themed roleplay.

The combination of devices makes this kit especially geared for edging. If you haven’t tried edging before, prepare to have your mind blown. Edging, for the uninitiated, is the process of experiencing sexual pleasure but putting off the orgasm. It can help you build to new heights of orgasms, last longer, and build libido. The gentle stimulations from the Gush 2 and the G-spot vibrations from the Lush 4 allowed my partner and me to warm up during a movie, only to have explosive orgasms later. I highly recommend using this for edging. C’est magnifique!
Design
The design is on par with other Lovense products, meaning it is excellent. The more high-tech, the more you can expect from the design. Both high-dollar items, the stroker and the vibe, are so thoughtfully designed.

Material
The materials are body-safe and opulent. Only the stroker is made from TPE, so it won’t last forever.
Stimulations
The stimulations vary depending on which toy you’re using. The most potent stimulations come from the Lovense Lush 4. The vibrations are some of the strongest I’ve felt, especially with a wearable egg. The Gush 2 is perfect for edging. And given enough time, it will work to bring the penis-haver to orgasm, scout’s honor.

Sound Level
Sound level is a crucial factor when choosing toys for public play. The devices included in the Lovense Lover Set are discreet but not silent. During use, the Gush 2 is louder than the Lush 4, thanks to how much the decibels are deadened once the egg vibrator is positioned internally. The Lush 4 is very easy to wear in public settings, thanks to how quiet it is.
Build Quality and Dimensions
The build quality of every item is excellent. It looks seamless, curated, and made to last. The dimensions are average compared to other sex toys in the same vein. All six items fit inside the box, which is about the size of an average board game.

Lovense App
The Lovense App is my favorite for use with sex toys. It has everything: an intuitive interface, great connectivity, and expansive versatility. Anything you wish you could do with a sex toy is likely available in the app. You can set the vibration levels to your comfort (lowering the highest level or raising the lowest), sync the sensation to music, and connect with a long-distance partner. It’s fun and reliable—two descriptors that many other sex toy apps can’t claim. Plus, one phone can control both toys at once.
What’s even more exciting is that there is a new in-app experience called the Lover’s Game. This card game gives you specific instructions for titillating your partner—or receiving titillation from your partner.

Ease of Use
Lovense does an excellent job of making high-tech sex toys accessible to even the most tech-phobic among us. The app is so reliable and easy to use, I’m constantly in awe of it. The materials used are body-safe, easy to wash, and uncomplicated.
Versatility
The Lovense Lover Set gets medium versatility points. On one hand, the sex toys included are mostly waterproof, durable, and multifunctional. You can gamify masturbation sessions, create your own patterns, and much more.
Yet I would give this set full points if you could customize it for an LGBTQIA+ couple. Why not just have a drop-down menu with an altered price so that you could get two Gush 2s or Lush 4s? Also, I think a butt plug or something other than an additional penis toy may have been a more versatile inclusion.

Warranty and Support
You can return this set only if it has been unopened and unused. Aside from that, the Lush 4, Gush 2, and Kraken masturbator are covered by Lovense’s one-year warranty against defects and faulty workmanship. They also fall under Lovense’s 10-year quality guarantee, where you receive a discount on your next purchase if they stop working in that time frame. The remaining products in the kit have a 90-day warranty.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
While I was disappointed that there isn’t an option for lesbian or gay couples to opt for within this curated set, I was delighted by the included sex toys for the straights. The choice to include two penis devices that can’t be used concurrently was puzzling. I think a better inclusion may have been an anal device that could work for someone of any gender.
Review Summary
Pros

- Durable
- Hands-free pleasure for two
- Straightforward app with fun gamification and versatility
Cons
- Won’t work well for gay and lesbian cis couples

Alternatives to The Lovense Lover Set
Lovehoney Indulge Valentine’s Day Kit
If you want a sexy kit but can’t afford the Lovense Lover Set, consider Lovehoney’s Indulge Valentine’s Day Kit. Curated for two-gender couples, it comes with a dual stimulation G-spot and clitoral device, butt plug, blindfold, restraints, cock ring, bullet vibrator, and stroker for under $100. Some of the devices work in tandem, like the cock ring, which has a pocket for the bullet vibrator to stimulate your partner’s clit. The Indulge Valentine’s Day Kit is perfect for people who don’t have too many sex toys but want something that looks sexy for both people to enjoy. It’s gorgeous, and it’s a steal. But it won’t work for long-distance couples or for public play.
