Blush Gaia Eco Bullet Vibrator Review

The Blush Gaia Eco bullet vibrator is eco-friendly, recyclable, and affordable. But is it a good toy on top of all those good qualities, or will I want to find out very quickly just how recyclable it is? Read my review to find out.
Key Takeaways

The Gaia Eco bullet vibrator is tiny and powerful, but that’s about it. The vibrations are extremely strong, but the vibrator itself is too small for you to appreciate those vibes properly. You’d be doing the environment a favor by avoiding this one and instead getting something you’ll want to use more than once.
Who Should Try It? If you’re in need of an extremely discreet travel vibrator, this might be a good option for you. It’s tiny and gets the job done if you don’t mind overly intense vibes.
Who Can Skip It? Honestly? Most people. I can’t imagine it being a staple in anyone’s collection, since its size makes it a hassle to use. While the size might seem appealing to a beginner or someone who experiences vaginal discomfort, it’s still not worth it. The vibes are too powerful for a beginner, and the size and general discomfort won’t be satisfying for someone with a collection.
You Can Buy It on the SheVibe website for $23.99.
What Is The Gaia Eco Bullet?
First of all, the full name of this toy is The Gaia Eco Biodegradable & Recyclable Rechargeable Bullet Vibrator By Blush, but it shall henceforth be known as the Gaia Eco Bullet because A) I’m not that desperate to fill my word count, and B) GEBARRBVBB is the worst acronym since HSACWDTKDTKTLFO from BoJack Horseman. This toy is is…well, just what its name suggests. It’s a tiny bullet vibrator that is biodegradable, recyclable, and rechargeable (though is that really much of a flex in the current year? Off the top of my head, I can’t even remember the last time I used a toy that wasn’t rechargeable). It’s also made from BioFeel, a plant-based bioplastic. According to the SheVibe page, it “uses less energy and creates fewer greenhouse gas emissions than any other sex toy on the market”. Whether or not that’s strictly true, I can’t say, but I do appreciate their using a plastic alternative for their product, as well as the fact that it is biodegradable and recyclable. While it is splashproof, it is not waterproof, otherwise that would have been part of the name. It can be used both internally and externally.

This toy is part of Blush’s Gaia lineup of environmentally friendly toys. I haven’t tried anything from their Gaia collection, but I’ve tried two Blush toys before: The Flutter Tongue, which ended up being my favorite tongue toy of the batch I tested, and the Oh My Gem, which I loved despite its having every feature I usually dislike in a toy. So, I was sorry that this bullet just didn’t do it for me.

My Personal Experience
Packaging
The packaging is simple and basic. The box has a picture of the product, along with some general information, and it comes with a charger and a piece of paper directing you to the Blush website.

Design
The design of the Gaia Eco Bullet is one that falls under the category of “simple, but not easy”. Since the base is integrated into the rest of the toy, and since the sex toy is so small, pushing the button while using it is an ordeal to say the least, whether you’re using it internally or externally. The button also doesn’t press easily, making it even more of a hassle. This toy was small enough that I didn’t use lube, but if I had, I shudder to think how slippery that would have been. And of course when something this tiny doesn’t have a base, I’m going to be convinced it’ll get lost inside me when I use it internally.
Material
The Gaia Eco Bullet is made of BioFeel, a plant-based bioplastic. This material uses less energy and requires fewer greenhouse gases to produce, so I’m all for it. And it really does feel like plastic, but I don’t necessarily mean that as a compliment. While I’m sure plastic toys have their fans, I’m purely on team silicone. This toy has no squish or flexibility to it, which I did not love.

Stimulations
The Gaia Eco Bullet has 10 vibration modes: 5 speeds that increase in intensity, and 5 patterns. Blush does their vibration patterns very well, and even has a guide on their website showing what each vibration pattern does. Unfortunately, this toy was so small that the vibrations felt way too intense. It’s impossible to hold it in a comfortable way (think of holding a golf pencil or a worn down piece of chalk), meaning the intense vibrations go straight to your hand as much as anywhere else.
Sound Level
This toy is very quiet, so if you want something incredibly discreet, the noise level and size of this toy would be perfect.

Build Quality and Dimensions
While I appreciate the fact that it is made of more environmentally friendly materials than most, I didn’t love the quality of the toy. It was just as hard and rigid as regular plastic, and the buzzing sensation was more uncomfortable than anything else. That said, since the Gaia Eco Bullet was so tiny, and that’s really the entire purpose, it’s hard to imagine what a luxe version of this product would be like. I’m not sure squishy, flexible silicone would have added to the experience, or if there would be any way to make the stimulations less aggressive without making the toy either much bigger or much weaker. Anything that tiny is going to feel a little cheap! The Blush Bullet is only 2.75 inches long with a width of 0.75 inches, so it is small (You can see how the size compares to a dental floss box in the image above).
Ease of Use
While some sex toys can be so big they feel a little unwieldy, the Gaia Eco Bullet is just too small to use easily. The button system is simple enough—hold it down to turn it on or off, press to cycle through the vibration patterns—but actually pressing the button is another matter. I compared using the toy to holding a golf pencil or piece of chalk; now imagine having to press a button on a golf pencil or piece of chalk while it’s most of the way inside you. I think it really would have been helpful for this vibrator to have some kind of base, if for no other reason than the fact that I was worried it would disappear inside me never to be seen again. I’ve used dilators that are a similar size, and the flat base definitely made the experience better. A design like that would have been welcome with this product. I have nothing against a really tiny toy, but it has to be usable.

Versatility
The Gaia Eco Bullet can be used both internally and externally.
Warranty and Support
The Gaia Eco Bullet has a one-year warranty that covers electronic defects.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
Aside from general difficulties due to the design, I didn’t have any issues using it.

Alternatives to the Gaia Eco Bullet
Oh My Gem
A far superior vibrator from Blush, the Oh My Gem Ardor has all the benefits of the Blush Bullet—small size, single button, great vibration patterns—with none of the downsides. While it’s not made of the same environmentally friendly materials, the silicone feels much better than the hard bioplastic of the Bullet, and it even has a warming function. Plus, it has a gem on the bottom, so what’s not to love!

We-Vibe Tango X
Ranked as the #1 bullet vibrator here on mysextoyguide.com (as of the time of writing), the We-Vibe Tango X is a little bigger than the Blush Bullet, but is still about the size of a tube of lipstick. It also allows you to control the intensity level as well as the pattern, a level of customization I always love to see.
