The Double Dancer by CalExotics is a small, sleek rabbit vibrator. Will I want to hold it closer, or is using it about as entertaining as counting headlights on the highway? Read my review to find out.
Key Takeaways

Between its lackluster stimulations, somewhat janky button system, and its overall cheap-feeling appearance, this is not a dancer I will want to partner up with again. I’m usually a fan of CalExotics products, but this one seemed subpar compared to their usual standards. In a cheaper toy, or one specifically sold as a travel toy, I’d be a bit more forgiving, but at $36, I simply can’t justify this one.
Who Should Try It? I did like this toy’s size and shape, so if you really don’t care about stimulations, want something incredibly simple, and you just want a dildo that feels nice without being too big, this might be a good toy for you.
Who Can Skip It? Most people, really. I was initially tempted to recommend it to beginners, but the button placement rules that out, and if you’re sensitive to stimulations, then the fact that you have to cycle through all the vibration modes to turn it off makes it less than ideal.
You Can Buy It on the SheVibe website for $36.
What Is The Double Dancer?
The Double Dancer is a rabbit vibrator from CalExotics. The SheVibe website boasts that “what sets this distinctive massager apart is how it got its name: The Double Dancer features two clitoral massagers to surround your clit”. That’s all very well, but nearly every rabbit vibrator has two clitoral massagers. Those are the “ears” that make it a rabbit toy. Otherwise it would be called, I don’t know, a “flat, featureless surface jutting out of a dildo” toy.

So, yes, like the vast majority of rabbit vibrators, the Double Dancer has an internal shaft and an external component meant to caress your clit, so you get a double dose of sensation. It’s also waterproof and has three stimulations. Yes, three.
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
The first thing I noticed at unboxing was the fact that the product doesn’t come with any kind of packaging to keep it steady in the box. It comes wrapped in a plastic bag, but is just knocking around in the box. On one hand, I appreciate the lack of packaging, but on the other, it just doesn’t feel particularly luxurious. A fabric bag would have been a much better alternative.

How Do I Use The Double Dancer?
First, take off the round part at the bottom (with the button) to place the battery inside. The Double Dancer takes one AA battery. Put in the battery and screw the round base back on. In my experience (and the experience of other reviewers), it can be a little finicky, so be aware of that.

Once the battery is in, slide the rabbit inside you until the outer “ears” are caressing your clitoris. Then press the button on the base to cycle through the three vibrations. Once you’re at the third vibration, simply press the button again to turn it off.

My Personal Experience
Packaging
As I say, the packaging was not great. The box was fine, with information about the toy printed on it, but it just arriving wrapped in a plastic bag was not the height of luxury. Obviously, I like less packaging being put into this world, but plenty of boxes have a little hole at the top and bottom to keep the toy in place and prevent it from rattling around.

Design
I do genuinely like the design of Double Dancer. Its insertable width is 1.5”, but the design of the shaft made it slide in easily, and I never would have guessed it had that much width. That might be a downside if you like a bit of girth in your sex toys, but for me, I loved the way it slid in. I also liked the length of the “ears” on the external component. With most rabbit toys, it can be hard getting them to line up with your clit just right, but with these, since the ears went all the way down to the shaft, it was easy having both of them caress the clit while having the internal shaft hit the g-spot. This design in a toy with better/more stimulations and silicone that felt more high-quality would have been great.
Material
Double Dancer is made from silicone, which is always my preference. However, it felt a little cheap compared to other models I’ve tried. There was a discolored patch of plastic on the handle, and you could see the “seam” on the silicone toward the bottom (you can see both the issues in the next two images below).

Stimulations
The box it comes in touts the fact that it has “3 powerful speeds”. So, does that mean it has different patterns and you can adjust the speeds of those patterns? No. It has three speeds, and…that’s it. I will say that there is a sizable difference between the first and the third speed (so, no, they’re not all “powerful”), so that’s a good thing. But, really, I dragged the Blush Bullet to heck and back, and it had 10 speeds. Not to mention it costs less than the Double Dancer. And the speeds were just your basic vibrations with no patterns to be had.
In general, the vibrations were pretty weak, and while I was using it, the external component didn’t do much for me, especially considering the lack of a dual motor.

Sound Level
Double Dancer was extremely quiet, which is one of the few things I really did appreciate about it. Was it quiet in part because the vibrations were pretty weak? Probably, but I’ll still give credit where credit’s due.
Build Quality and Dimensions
With a total length of 8.25 inches, an insertable length of 4 inches, and an insertable width of 1.5 inches, this one is a pretty perfect size, as far as I’m concerned. However, because of how quiet it is and how limited its functionality is, I almost wish they had made it smaller and then sold it as a travel toy. It still wouldn’t be perfect, but I’d be more forgiving if that were its stated purpose.

Again, I’m sorry to say the quality was not great. The silicone felt cheap instead of luxurious, and every time I pressed the button, the toy switched off for a second before moving to the next stimulation. I’ve tried plenty of CalExotics toys before, so I know they can do better.
Ease of Use
Overall, Double Dancer is pretty easy to use. Let me elaborate. It slides in very nicely, to the point where I never would have guessed its width was 1.5”. It’s also easy to place correctly, and the button is easy to push. Buttons that are awkwardly placed and/or hard to press are the bane of my existence, so I did appreciate that. The button itself gave me some difficulty, though, since it did turn off for that second every time I used it, and it always made me think I’d turned the toy off.

Versatility
As with any rabbit vibrator, this toy is versatile in that it has both an internal and external stimulator. It’s also waterproof.
Warranty and Support
If this product does not make your inner goddess do the dance of the seven veils (yes, that was a 50 Shades of Grey joke in 2026), CalExotics offers a standard one-year warranty that covers products for all manufacturing defects.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
I didn’t have any issues with the Double Dancer, besides a bit of difficulty with the button and the cheap feeling of the material.

Alternatives to the Double Dancer
The Venus Butterfly Vibrator
While more expensive than the Double Dancer, the Venus Butterfly is a much more satisfying offering from CalExotics. It’s a butterfly vibrator, so it also provides internal and external pleasure, but with more than 3 stimulations (it has 12).

Bunny Kisses
Cringe-inducing name aside, the Bunny Kisses by Evolved Novelties is a great rabbit vibrator. At $42, the price is comparable to the Double Dancer, but it’s a much better experience overall, from the quality of the product itself to the fact that the internal and external vibes can be controlled separately.
