VeDO Desire G-Spot Vibrator Review

The VeDO Desire is a g-spot vibrator with a curved shape and the ability to control the intensity as well as the pattern of your vibration. Is it enough to make your wildest desires come true, or is this VeDO toy more of a VeDON’T? Read my review to find out.
Key Takeaways
After I was less than impressed by the VeDO Boom, my hopes for the Desire were not exactly high. But oh, was I wrong! Between the curved shape, the customization, and the overall feel of it, this toy is just about everything I could desire in a g-spot vibe.
Who Should Try It? If you’ve used vibrators before, but really want to target your g-spot specifically, I would absolutely recommend VeDO Desire. It’s really the best of all worlds in terms of shape and vibes, and it is under $50.
Who Can Skip It? If you’re all about external pleasure, this one might not be for you. While basically any g-spot toy can be used as an external stimulator as well, the curved handle on this one makes it a little uncomfortable to hold if you’re not using it as intended. I wouldn’t recommend it for partner play for the same reason.
You Can Buy It on the SheVibe website for $46.
What Is The VeDO Desire?
The VeDO Desire is a silicone g-spot vibrator with a curved shape and the ability to control both the vibration pattern and intensity level of your vibes. With its powerful motor and silky smooth silicone, this toy leaves nothing to be…desired.

First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
The unboxing did not fill me with the greatest of expectations. It comes in a basic box, with a picture on the front and a description of VeDO Desire and its functions on the back. While this is a fine way to package a sex toy, this one had more of that “medical device” aesthetic than that “fun and/or luxurious sex toy” aesthetic. VeDO Desire itself rested on a plastic tray inside the box to prevent it from moving around. It also comes with a product guide that shows how to…charge their various products, which is wildly unhelpful.

How Do I Use The VeDO Desire?
First, get your Desire charged by plugging the included USB charging cable into the base of the toy. A red light will come on as it is charging, then turn green when it’s ready to fulfill your…desires.

Slide in the shaft, using a good amount of lube. To turn it on, simply hold the power (center) button. A few times when I tried it, I had to long press the power, then press it again to get the toy to start vibing. I probably turned on the travel lock by accident, but just know that if it doesn’t start up right away, pressing the power button again will probably do the trick.
To cycle through the different vibration patterns, keep pressing the power button. To increase or decrease the intensity of the vibrations, press the + or – button above and below the power button. When your desires have been met, simply long press the power button again to turn it off.

My Personal Experience
Packaging
The packaging was definitely my least favorite thing about VeDO Desire (which is preferable to the packaging being my favorite thing about a sex toy). The box itself wasn’t particularly inspiring, though I did like the inclusion of the instructions and diagram on the back. As I say, it came with a booklet on how to charge their different products, which seems extremely pointless.

Design
The design is where VeDO Desire really shone. Where to begin? Well, the curved shape made it easy and more natural to hold than straight dildos often feel. The rounded tip isn’t super tapered, but it felt quite comfortable, and personally, I find that rounded shape a lot more satisfying against my g-spot than something super tapered like The Baelii.
Then there’s the button system. If you’ve read any of my reviews in the past, you know that button systems are one of the main things I focus on while reviewing a product. Now, I know I’m biased, but the Desire had my favorite type of button system: button in the middle to control the vibrations and buttons on the top and bottom to control the intensity/speed. Not only that, but despite the integrated handle (a hit-or-miss design choice), the buttons were easy to press.

Material
The material on the Desire is absolutely suited to its purpose as a g-spot stimulator. The silicone is flexible enough to be comfortable and to put it right where you want it, but it’s not so squishy and floppy that it can’t target the desired (okay, I’ll stop) area. While I typically prefer a dildo with a little bit of squish to it, for a g-spot vibrator, you want something a bit more rigid.
Stimulations
The Desire has 10 vibration patterns and 6 different intensity levels. Let’s talk about the patterns first. One great thing about being able to adjust the intensity is that only one of the patterns needs to be a basic vibration (most toys with 10 patterns usually have a few that are a basic vibe, just with different intensities), and the others can be…patterns! I am a huge fan of patterns, so that was a bonus.

Now for the intensity levels. Often, the difference between the minimum and maximum intensity levels is the difference between a “meh” and an “eh” (or more rarely, the difference between a “Wow!” and an “Ow!”). But this one really did a good job at starting low and building to a powerful vibe by level 6. While not being the most powerful vibe out there, it is satisfyingly intense (SheVibe rates it as a 3/4), and depending on your mood or experience level, you’re sure to find your perfect combination.
Sound Level
SheVibe rates this one as a 2/4, and I would agree. While it isn’t noticeably loud, it isn’t noticeably silent either.

Build Quality and Dimensions
With a total length of 7.5 inches and a total width of 1.5 inches, VeDO Desire is a great size. While it might be a little big for travel, it certainly won’t take up too much space in your bedside drawer, or wherever you keep all your goodies.
I appreciated the quality of this toy when I used it, and appreciated it even more when I looked it up and saw the price. VeDO Desire feels luxurious, with its flexible silicone, and the buttons are well designed and easy to press. The metallic-looking base for the charger also makes it more aesthetically pleasing than it would be if it were just silicone throughout.

Ease of Use
The shape of this toy makes it especially easy to use, since it is easy to hold and easy to press the buttons while using it.
Versatility
While basically any g-spot vibrator can technically be used as an external vibe, the shape of the Desire makes it a little awkward to hold if you’re using it externally. Plus, there are just much better toys designed specifically for that purpose. The Desire is waterproof, so feel free to take it in the tub with you.
Warranty and Support
VeDO offers a one-year warranty for their toys.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
A few times when I turned it on, I had to long press the power button, then press it again for the toy to start vibing. But other times, it started vibing when I long pressed the power button. This could be entirely human error, either because I wasn’t pressing the power button long enough (or I pressed it too long), or I turned on the travel lock accidentally.

Alternatives to the VeDO Desire
The Nu Sensuelle Baelii
If the rounded head of the Desire doesn’t fill you with…you know, then the ultra-tapered tip of the Nu Sensuelle Baelii might be more the shape you’re looking for. While it doesn’t have the option to control both power and patterns, it is quite powerful and has 20 different vibration patterns.

Lovense Velvo
If you want something more out there than the Desire, something with all the bells and whistles (we’re talking clitoral stimulation, rolling beads, and app compatibility, to be more specific), the Lovense Velvo might be what you’re looking for instead.
