The Billionaire by Smile Makers is a versatile vibrator that promises to make you feel like a billion bucks. Does it live up to this promise, or will it have you believing that there’s no such thing as an ethical billionaire after all?
Read my review of the Billionaire to find out.
Key Takeaways

The small size, versatile shape, silky-smooth silicone, quiet vibrations, and powerful motor make The Billionaire a good vibrator that I genuinely enjoyed using. While billion might be a bit of an overstatement, it definitely made me feel like a couple of hundred thousand bucks.
Who Should Try It? If you’re a fan of both internal and external vibration and don’t mind a good amount of power, The Billionaire might be a great vibrator for you. Its simple functionality and relatively small size also make it a good choice for partner play.
Who Can Skip It? If you’re sensitive and/or a total beginner, The Billionaire might be one to skip. While the lowest vibration level isn’t super intense, the power builds quite quickly, and there’s no way to lower the intensity (you have to either turn it off or cycle all the way through the vibration modes). This is a very common feature for sex toys to have, it’s not one I like to see in a product designed for beginners.

What Is The Billionaire?
The Billionaire is a versatile vibrator from The Smile Makers. It has a rounded tip that makes it a great choice for clitoral stimulation, and a sleek shape designed for internal stimulation. It has 6 stimulations in all: 4 vibrations that increase in intensity and 2 patterns.

First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
First of all, I loved the box The Billionaire came in. The martini glass design stole my heart and perfectly matched the sleek, elegant feel of the toy. It also had information about the toy on the back and sides, which I always appreciate, since it gives me a little sneak peek into what the experience will be like.

Inside the box was a complete instruction guide, a user manual, a warranty card, a USB charger, and a “I’m clitastic!” sticker.

How Do I Use The Billionaire?
First, charge up your Billionaire with the included charging cable (it should look like the image below). Charge time takes about 2 hours, while playtime can last up to 3 hours. That’s a great ratio!

The Smile Makers website and user guide give detailed instructions on how to use The Billionaire, but very simply, you’ll want to use it externally before you use it as an internal vibe.
Turn it on by pressing the button (don’t long press it as that turns on the travel lock) on the bottom, and with a little bit of lube, use it to stimulate your clitoris, and/or the surrounding area.

Unlike the super-intense Zumio X2, this really is a toy that you can use to leisurely explore your erogenous zones, as long as you’re on the lowest vibration.
With the help of a little more lube, simply slide the vibrator inside and press the button to cycle through the different vibration modes. There are 4 basic vibrations that increase in intensity and 2 modes that are patterns. When you’re done playing, simply long press the button.

My Personal Experience
Design
The design of The Billionaire is really lovely. It’s quite small at under 6 inches, and looks delicate and sleek. The rounded head makes for a great clitoral vibe, since it’s right at the sweet spot of not being so narrow that the sensations are too intense and painful, but it’s not so round that it’s hard to get any intense stimulation from it.

I found the design of the body a little less ideal, especially for a beginner. The tip is just a little too rounded, and the widest point is just a little too close to the top of the toy for me to wholeheartedly call it a perfect beginner model.
There’s also the issue of the button. The Billionaire only has one button, located at the bottom of the toy. While it makes the vibrator look aesthetically pleasing, in practice, it’s a very awkward placement, and makes it hard to press the button while holding it, especially since it’s a relatively small toy. Once it’s inserted, the button doesn’t stick out very far.

Material
The Billionaire certainly feels like a billion bucks! The silicone is soft and silky-smooth. Since this toy is designed to help you explore all your erogenous zones, I especially appreciated how luxurious and smooth it felt.
The Billionaire also has just the right amount of flexibility and squish. External toys that are too flexible can sometimes be a little unsatisfying, and this toy was rigid enough to really grind up against without feeling hard or plastic-y.

Stimulations
The Billionaire has 6 vibration modes: 4 regular vibrations that increase in intensity and 2 patterns. Everything past the first vibration mode is pretty intense, especially in a toy marketed for beginners. Also, while I usually appreciate toys that have patterns, the two in this toy felt virtually identical to the regular vibrations.
Also, since the toy cycles through the vibrations, there’s no way to bring them down a notch if you’re on a level that’s too high. If you’re someone who’s never used a vibrator before, I’d consider that a big downside.

Sound Level
The Billionaire was very quiet, which I always appreciate. Between the sound level and the small size, this is a very discreet toy and would make for a good travel option.
Build Quality and Dimensions
With a length of 5.79 inches and a width of 1.3 inches, The Billionaire is small enough to be hidden away somewhere while not being so tiny it’s uncomfortable to hold it properly or impossible to use for partner play.

Ease of Use
The Billionaire is very easy to use. I did accidentally put it in travel lock mode, but that was because I didn’t read the instructions properly. Plus, the button is very easy to press, even with slippery lube hands, which is not always the case.
Versatility
The Billionaire worked equally well as both an internal and external toy, though as I say, the vibrations were intense. It’s also waterproof, so you can take it in the bath with you.
Warranty and Support
Smile Makers offers a 2-year warranty (yet another reason to smile).
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
My main issues with The Billionaire were the stimulations. Since this is a beginner toy meant for exploration, this Billionaire seems a little stingy for only having 6 vibration modes. A plethora of patterns plus the ability to control the intensity—now that would be a luxury experience.
I also didn’t love the fact that you could only cycle through the vibrations, instead of being able to go back to a preferred vibe.
And finally, the button placement was just a bit awkward and made it hard to use internally while holding it.
Review Summary
As with the Zumio X2, this vibrator is supposedly a great choice for a beginner. But also like the X2, while it has a lot going for it, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it as my first choice for a beginner option.
The intensity combined with the fact that you can only cycle through different vibrations might end up being painful for someone who’s never tried a vibrator before, and the tip is just a touch too wide to be totally comfortable.
Pros
- Versatile design works both internally and externally
- Small yet powerful
- Easy to use
- Great charge time-to-playtime ratio
Cons
- Might be too intense on all but the lowest settings, especially for a beginner
- Shape might be too bulbous for a beginner
- Only 6 vibration modes
Alternatives to the Billionaire
The Oh My Gem Ardor Warming Vibrator
The Oh My Gem has a very similar design to the Billionaire, but I like it slightly better. When it comes to internal pleasure, the tip is much more tapered, making its shape more comfortable to insert. In terms of the external vibes, the angled side is very satisfying to grind up against. It has 10 vibration modes, which, like the Billionaire, are very powerful. It even has a warming function!

The Zalo Courage
The Zalo Courage has a similar shape to the Billionaire, but unlike the Billionaire (or the Oh My Gem), its vibrations never get that strong. Plus, it has the option to go back to a previous vibration, instead of cycling through all of them. Like the Oh My Gem, it’s also a warming toy.
