How Do I Use The Kitty Magic Wand?

1. First, charge up your Kitty Magic Wand with the included USB charging cable. Once it’s ready to come out and play, the blinking light on the top button will glow solidly.
2. To turn on the external tapping stimulation, long-hold the top button (with the arrow pointing to the paw) until it starts tapping. Then press the top button to cycle through the tapping speeds. The tapping paw section can be used against any external erogenous zone, so feel free to explore! To turn it off, long-hold the button again.

My Personal Experience

Design

How often can I use the words “adorable” and “cute” without being repetitive? And I’m not calling it “kawaii” because that just makes me think of that one Avril Levine music video. Whatever adjective you want to use, this toy is really well-designed, aside from its catlike charms. The paw on top is just the right shape to convey that it’s meant to be a cat’s paw, but it’s hardly realistic (which I realize might be a letdown for some people). The tapping part of the paw is outlined with a circle, so you or your partner can line it up perfectly with the erogenous zone of your choice before turning it on:

The smooth silicone felt great, both internally and externally. The thin piece of silicone that covers the external tapping motor is thin enough so that you can really feel (and see) it work, but it’s thick enough so that the sensations don’t feel too harsh:

On their site, Pika says the Kitty Magic Wand is their most powerful vibrator, and it is pretty intense! The dildo end has 9 modes, 3 regular vibes that increase in intensity, and 6 patterns. The tapping paw has 7 “petting speeds”, but there are no patterns; it only increases in, well, speed. Since this was such a unique feature, I would have liked to see some patterns, but the speeds were enough to feel really good.

A lot of products will claim not to use vibrations, then either have stimulations that are effectively the exact same as vibrations, or just…don’t work. But this toy genuinely felt different from a regular vibrator and I loved it!

Sound Level

Any sex toy that has powerful vibrations is going to make a little noise. The Kitty Magic Wand isn’t super loud, I wouldn’t call Kitty Magic Wand completely discreet either. However, that’s just the vibrator end—the tapping paw is extremely quiet.

Build Quality and Dimensions

At 8.26 inches long, Kitty Magic Wand is definitely big enough to comfortably use both ends, but isn’t so big that it’s unwieldy. It also somehow looks very small. I thought it was much smaller than the Natural Love Company’s Cassia, but when I double-checked, the Cassia was only 9 inches. I guess something about the cute design makes it look extra petite.

And I was also very impressed by the build quality. The silicone feels great on both ends, and the buttons were responsive and easy to push.

Ease of Use

Toys with dual functions are sometimes hard to get right, but the Kitty Magic Wand makes using it a breeze. The tapping paw is easy to place just where you want it—I found it easier than using Womanizer suction toys, for example—and although the dildo isn’t super tapered, its relatively slim size makes it easy to insert.

The interface is also very easy to use, with a button on top that controls the tapping paw, and a button below it that controls the dildo. Plus, both buttons have arrows, so you know just what component you’re controlling. The buttons are also raised and responsive, so they’re easy to press while using it internally, but not so easy to press that you do so accidentally.

Versatility

While you can’t use the internal and external components at the same time (try Pika’s Flora Pro for that), they both feel really great on their own. The tapping paw in particular is very versatile in how it can be used on other erogenous zones. The shape and ease of use also make it a good choice for partner play.

Normally, I’d add a line about whether a product is waterproof, but the website is a little confusing on that front. The webpage says it has a “100% waterproof design” and that “Pika toys are rated IPX7 Waterproof up to 3 meters”. However, the user guide says, “Kitty is IPX6 waterproof, meaning she’s fine with running water and shower spray, but not extended soaking or submersion,” and the physical user guide says, “Waterproof but not for full submersion”. So, best to err on the side of caution and assume it’s IPX6 water-resistant.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

I didn’t have any issues while using Kitty Magic Wand itself—but I will say that their website needs an editor. Referring to the product as IPX7 waterproof on the product page when it’s really IPX6 is not cool, especially since a lot of people might want to use it in the bath. The toy’s webpage also says, “Get to Know Lulu” (another of their toys), even though it goes on to talk about Kitty. Minor issues, but worth bringing up.
