While I really enjoyed the Rattle Snake from the Blush Temptasia line, the Viper just seemed like a weaker version. Unboxing

This toy has a similar box as the Rattle Snake, and I really like it. The box has a magnetic closure and opens from a hinge on the side, like a book, which really puts the toy on display nicely. Plus, the inside of the box asks the all-important question, “Will you dare to dance with The Viper?”

Overall, the packaging on this toy is great, and really made the experience of opening it feel luxe and exciting (as a snake vibrator should feel).

How Do I Use The Temptasia Viper?

1. To use the external component (the glowing, vibrating ball between the snake’s teeth), hold down the top button with the sunburst design for two seconds.
2. Once it’s vibrating, continue pressing the button to cycle through the 10 vibration modes (3 speeds and 7 patterns). When you’re done, simply long-press the button down again.
3. To use the internal dildo, simply do the same thing with the bottom button (with the wave design). Or start with the internal dildo, then move on to using it externally—I’m not the boss of you, and I’m certainly not going to tell you how to best use your snake-themed toy.
4. Though considering the girth of the dildo and lack of any kind of tapered tip, you’ll definitely want some lube (water-based, of course)!

My Personal Experience

Design

Compared to the other two, I was a little disappointed in the design on Viper. The overall snake theming was just not as obvious on this one, and it lacked the details of the Rattle Snake and even the Twin Python. The snake doesn’t have scales (which really add to the sensation while using it) and doesn’t have eyes (purely decorative, but such a cool touch). On one hand, I can see where this toy might lend itself to more role-play scenarios, since it’s not specifically a snake. But on the other hand, I feel as though if you’re going to get a product that looks vaguely like a snake, you should either go all-in, or get a more, well, normal toy.

While I do appreciate that some people want sex toys that are smaller and more discreet, this one is still extremely eye-catching. And while it might be smaller than the others, you’re never going to see Viper make a “most travel-friendly” list. The small size also made it awkward to use internally, especially while exploring the different stimulations.

Personally, I don’t love toys with a rounded external component. Yes, it looks cool, but I just find it less satisfying to grind up against a round body than something with a more conical shape, or a flat shape. That’s entirely personal preference, but something to bear in mind.

Material

As with the other toys in this collection, the silicone (more specifically, the Puria body-safe silicone with UltraSilk finish) feels amazing to the touch. My only issue with Viper is that it doesn’t have the textures that the others did. While the others had scales that really made for interesting sensations while I was using it, this one was much more smooth. In general, that’s certainly not a problem, but when I’m using a snake-themed toy, I want something a bit more exciting.

Stimulations

The Viper has dual motors, one for each end. Both the internal and external components have 10 stimulations, 3 speeds, and 7 patterns. Neither gets particularly intense, but the intensity mostly comes from how thick that dildo is! 1.5 isn’t much, but when there’s no tapered tip, it’s more than you might think.

Externally, I found the stimulations a little weak, but that could be due to the shape of the glass ball. I think the best way to get external stimulation from Viper is simply by using the dildo end. The vibes are stronger, and it’s easier to grind up against.

Sound Level

I was impressed by how quiet Viper was. For obvious reasons, I still wouldn’t call it “discreet”, let alone “travel-friendly”, but if you’re using this behind closed doors where no one can see it, you should be able to keep things on the down-low. Though, again, I would primarily recommend it for partnered role-play, where getting a little loud is part of the fun.

Build Quality and Dimensions

While the materials felt lovely, it just doesn’t look or feel quite as high quality as the other two. And I feel bad for saying so, because if this was a toy from any other brand, or if it was the first of the snake toys I’d tried, I wouldn’t have any complaints. However, once you’ve experienced those scales on the Rattle Snake, it’s hard not to be a little disappointed by the Viper’s few vertical ridges. Now, if you’re not into the snake theming, that could be a plus, but personally, I prefer the all-out snake design—scales and eyes, and rattles, etc.

Ease of Use

In terms of the interface, Viper is quite easy to use. The buttons work independently of each other, thanks to the dual motors. However, while the Twin Python was so big it was hard to use, the Viper was so small that I struggled to press the button while using it internally. And although I do think this toy is best suited for partner play, I’d imagine a partner wouldn’t have a much easier time using it.

Versatility

As with the Rattle Snake, I think this one worked a tiny bit better as an internal vibrator. Yes, the glowing orb looks insanely cool, but it’s not necessarily the most satisfying. While the internal vibes weren’t overpoweringly strong, they definitely got the job done, and I found I preferred using that end externally as well.

This toy is also waterproof.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

My biggest issue with Viper was how difficult it was to hold and press the button while using it internally. Since the toy is so small, it’s hard getting a good grip on the snake’s head while its tail (and a good chunk of its body) is inside you. While I know the dual ends are meant to serve different purposes, you might have more fun using them both externally.

Alternatives to the Temptasia Viper

The Temptasia Rattle Snake

You probably knew this was coming, but the Temptasia Rattle Snake is my favorite of the three snake-themed Blush toys. While it’s not perfect either, its outrageous design more than makes up for its flaws, and overall I still found its design more pleasurable to use than the Viper’s. On this toy, the snake theming feels like an afterthought, but on the Rattle Snake, those rattles really…rattled me in the best possible way.

Kitty Magic

The Kitty Magic Wand by Pikavibe is much more cutesy than the Viper, but still has a unique design. It’s also a dual-ended vibrator, and I found the external tapping sensation a lot more stimulating than the Viper’s vibes.
