All the vibrators we testedSex Toys News Round Up July 2026August is upon us (that rhymed in my head, trust me), so it’s time to look back on everything July had to offer. And no, I’m not talking about the celebrity drama and discourse, I mean the sex toy industry news!

Though in all seriousness, how long am I going to have to wait to see a picture of that wedding dress?

Summertime Toys

First, let’s talk about the new toys hitting the scene. I have something of an obsession with cute toys; when it comes to anything whimsical, I am always equal parts eager to try it out and fascinated by the psychology behind their marketing and their appeal. So you can imagine how I reacted to the news that there are Pokémon-themed sex toys:

The Pokemoan CollectionThe Pokemoan Collection

Back in 2016 (which was only like 3 years ago, right? Right?), Geeky Sex Toys released their Pokémoan limited-edition collection to, um, pay homage to the release of Pokémon GO. They’re now being rereleased in honor of their 10th anniversary, so you can pick up your starter pack. Though they are limited edition, so be warned that they are all but guaranteed to sell out. The collector’s set with all four toys is already sold out, so congratulations to the lucky few who snagged it.

With prices ranging from $69.00 to $169.00 (a purely coincidental number choice, I’m sure), the set includes a butt-plug designed to look like a yellow lightning-bolt tail, a bulb-shaped suction toy, a G-spot vibe with a fiery color scheme, and a wand toy that might just make you squirt. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan.

Lovense also came out with their newest toy, the “Fizz” Stimulator. It’s a dual-sided toy, but instead of having one side be for external pleasure, the other for internal pleasure, both sides of the Fizz are meant to take care of your clitoris. One side provides a tapping sensation, the other does suction. If you’re a fan of clitoral stimulation, this toy might be your new grail product. Our reviewer was certainly a fan (though with a few caveats—and seriously, why use AI on the product page?)

Another popular brand here at My Sex Toy Guide, Lelo has introduced a new toy that I’m sure we’ll be reviewing soon. The Mona Spectra Massager brings sexual wellness to new heights (or should I say, new…lights?) with its LED technology. An LED display for a G-spot stimulator? Why? You may ask. Well, your cells (specifically the mitochondria) absorb LED lights, which can have beneficial impacts on your body, depending on what color they are.

And yes, you can change the LED color on your Spectra Massager from red (which stimulates collagen, tissue elasticity, and natural lubrication) to blue (which is anti-inflammatory) to green (which is soothing and may help with hyperpigmentation). Talk about self-care from the inside out! As if that wasn’t enough, it also has a warming function and is designed to send sensation across more nerve endings. If you take masturbation seriously, the Lelo Mona Spectra Massager deserves a place on your wishlist.

Interesting Insights

I’m always fascinated to see what Adam & Eve polls reveal about people’s sexual habits. And yes, I am the type of person to look through your medicine cabinet if you ever invite me over to your place. A new study from them shows a breakdown of masturbation habits. According to their findings, the majority (54%) of respondents just use their hands, while 15.5% use sex toys.

Maybe it’s because I’m in a bit of a bubble working for this site, but I would have expected a higher number of people using toys. Where the survey gets a little confusing is that 10.5% of people use erotic media while 5.3% use fantasy/imagination. So what about the overlap? Are people using their imaginations and not touching themselves at all? Are the people using toys doing so with a completely empty head? I barely passed my college stats class, but even I know that’s a weirdly designed study.

I would love to see a follow-up showing how many people use their hands while watching erotic media vs. people who use toys while using their imagination, etc. Also, does reading fanfiction count as erotic media or fantasy/imagination? Answer me, Adam & Eve!

Another notable thing about the study is that 35% of people who use toys have better orgasms solo than with a partner. Maybe I’ve just used some particularly amazing toys, but that’s another number I would have expected to be a lot higher. Though my guess is that the average is being pulled down by men. Back in May, I reported on a study that showed only 12% of men saying they had better orgasms solo than with a partner, so that’s probably why the number is comparatively low.

Whenever one of the surveys comes out, I always offer Adam & Eve my unsolicited advice on what they should look into next, and in this case, I’d love to see a study breaking down who has the best/most orgasms: Women solo with toys, women solo without toys, women with a partner, men solo with toys, men solo without toys, and men with a partner. You don’t even have to credit me for the idea, Adam & Eve!

And an Expo

What would summer be without parties? And socializing? This year the ANME had their 2026 Founders Show at the Burbank Marriott in Los Angeles, and it looks like quite the fun time! The Adult Novelty Manufacturers Expo has been around for 30 years at this point, and it’s a great place for retailers, distributors, and brands to discover new products.

But don’t get too excited about getting ahead of the curve yourself—it’s a trade only event and is not open to the general public. As if my FOMO wasn’t bad enough! Well, even if we weren’t invited, I’m sure it was a great time, and I’m hoping it will lead to a lot of cool new products hitting the market soon.

Happy vibing!
