Welcome to the June 2026 edition of our sex toys news round up. This month, we dig into what happened to all the sex bloggers we saw just a few years ago, some cool new product releases, and an unusual garage sale. Have fun!
Where Have All the Sex Bloggers Gone?
A little while ago, I wrote an article on how Google and AI search results are actually not particularly helpful when it comes to finding the perfect sex toy. While every body is different, there’s nothing like reading a review from a person who actually used the toy and can tell you about their experience with it.
And of course, it’s not just true for sex toys! Whether you want to learn more about a travel destination, a camera lens, or DIY crafting, reading about someone else’s firsthand experience is second only to trying it out for yourself. Whether you know you’ll agree with them or whether something they loved is an immediate dealbreaker for you, that human experience is important.

Unfortunately, with the rise of Google summaries and AI search results, many blogs are losing traffic. According to an excellent study by Daniel Stanica that examined 100 blogs over 4 years, the median blog lost 85% of its followers, while only 21 of the blogs continued to grow.
Our corner of the Internet has been hit especially hard. Just a few years ago, you could find a myriad of amateur sex bloggers, DIY BDSM blogs, sex toy testers, and people who just wanted to write about their love life. Now they are all gone, and the Google search results are filled with big brands like Cosmopolitan and Woman’s Health. The smaller voices have been totally silenced. It makes me sad thinking about everything we’ve lost.
Toys, Toys, Toys
One of the most unusual toys I’ve ever tried is the Temptasia Rattle Snake by Blush. It was a great blend of functionality and a really cool, lovely design, and I can’t recommend it enough…assuming you’re the type of person who wants a sex toy that looks like a snake with a glowing orb in its mouth.
So, why am I bringing up this dual-sided, reptilian wonder? Well, it’s because the Rattle Snake has a new sibling! Dubbed the Twin Python, this double-headed snake has a posable shaft and is perfect for partner play or double penetration. Even though it can bend, it still holds its shape, meaning it won’t lose its position once you’ve found the perfect way to use it.

While it appears to have the same amazing texture as the Rattle Snake (one of my favorite features), the snake theming seems a little less clear on this toy. Maybe it’s because of the anatomical questions that get raised, but a snake with one head on either end raises a lot more questions in my mind than a snake holding a musical orb in its mouth. But I’m sure a lot of people more creative than I can come up with a very cool role-play scenario to use with this toy.
I also love how they clarify that it’s discreet with proper storage. Because yeah, without proper storage, that’s going to raise some questions. So, whether you love Blush’s snake series and want to complete your collection, or whether you just want a dual-ended vibrator with a creative twist, this might be one to check out.
Cool Features Coming Your Way
While not a new sex toy, per se, Lovense has released a new feature that could be a game changer for people who do adult livestreams. The new Control Me feature allows the performer to control their viewers’ devices.
It goes without saying that this feature allows for even more interaction between live-streamers and their fans and will likely be extremely popular with people who want to engage with fans in a whole new way. Tipping the live-streamer unlocks an invitation, which the live-streamer can either accept or decline.

One thing to note is that it’s connected to an affiliate program, where, according to a rep, “[The Control Me feature] provides opportunities for sites and creators to earn commissions when fans buy toys through the affiliate program, and then get paid again to control the fans’ toys.”
While I know people rightly have mixed opinions on affiliate programs, I think that as long as the company is open about the affiliate and people aren’t being forced to buy new products to interact with their favorite live-streamers, it makes a lot of sense. I also like the fact that you can only access the feature by tipping the creator and having them approve you.
A similar exciting development comes from Motorbunny. They’ve updated their Fluffer app with new Gaming Mode features. Now, I’m not a gamer, but for those of you who are, the new updates do sound pretty cool. It has real-time tilt, shake, and movement-based vibration control, simultaneous joystick and Playmate control, and a maximum power limit setting. It’s supported across Motorbunny Original, Motorbunny Buck, Motorbunny Jack, and the Fluffer collection.

On a less sexy but arguably more important level, they’ve also improved their Bluetooth reliability. They also allow for device renaming, which is such a small feature, but I rename all Bluetooth devices to random sets of emojis that make sense only to me, so it’s an added feature I can really appreciate.
Best Garage Sale Ever
If you’re a fan of our site, you might also be familiar with Miss Ruby Reviews. If so, you’re in luck because Miss Ruby is having a sex toy garage sale, giving away some of the toys she’s tested at a massive discount.
Personally, I love this idea! When you review a lot of sex toys, they can start to take up a lot of space. Giving them to a charity shop is simply not an option, and regifting them to friends is…a little weird, I’ll be honest. This way, fans of Miss Ruby’s site can enjoy toys that are lightly used and can read her review of that exact toy. Plus, it normalizes the idea of selling off used sex toys.
So, if you’re comfortable playing with a lightly used toy and are in the mood for a bargain, it might be worth checking out! Though it is important to note that she is Canadian (and, more to the point, will be shipping from Canada), so the shipping might be prohibitive, depending on where you live.
Confidence Boosting
A new study by Adam & Eve has come out, analyzing people’s bedroom confidence. When asked “How confident are you in your sex skills?”, 28% said they are very confident, 35% said they are somewhat confident, 23% felt neutral, 9% reported feeling somewhat insecure, and 5% said they are very insecure.
I am glad that more people are feeling confident than not, even if it is by a small margin, and that only 5% feel deeply insecure. I would love more of deep-dive into this study, to know how things like gender, age, and orientation play a role in these results. I’d even be interested to know how America compares to the rest of the world.
Happy vibing!
