Key Takeaways

3.5 out of 5 stars3.5 out of 5 stars

I was a big fan of the Temptasia Rattle Snake (I even gave it two paragraphs in my June news wrap-up article), so I was very excited to try Twin Python. When I finally got my hands on it, I was impressed overall…but with a few caveats. The snake heads look absolutely lovely and the ridges make them feel great while you’re using them. While the ends are tapered (because of the snakes’ noses), it still flares out pretty dramatically.

That said, my biggest issue with Twin Python was the proclamation on the front of the shipping label that I had received a double-ended dildo. That’s not something I need the world to know. I also wish it had been a little bit more flexible. When I squished the two heads together and then let go, it immediately popped back into a horseshoe shape, so it isn’t limitlessly posable.

Who Should Try It? The snake design makes it ideal for some creative role-play, and especially partner play. Its length and width are quite impressive, so if you’re a size queen who also happens to like snakes (and I mean really like snakes), you’ll get a lot of use out of this one.

Who Can Skip It? Between its outrageous design and its sheer size, Twin Python probably won’t appeal to absolute beginners. I also didn’t find it ideal for solo play. The textured surface felt nice, but having a partner provide some creative stimulation would definitely enhance the experience.

You Can Buy It on the official Blush website for $99.

What Is The Temptasia Twin Python?

The Temptasia Twin Python is a long (18”) dildo with a snake head on either end. While I’ve been known to use the term “dildo” to refer to any internal toy (or internal feature of a toy), this one is a true dildo in that it doesn’t have any stimulation. No vibrations, no thrusting, not even a little pulsation.

However, the shape makes it perfect for partner play, so your partner can provide all the movements. Plus, the textures provide plenty of stimulation themselves.

First Impressions and Features

Unboxing

My unboxing experience was not ideal. When the package arrived, it said on the cardboard shipping box, “Temptasia Twin Python—Silicone Double-Ended Dildo”. Blush’s website itself says that the shipping is “discreet with proper storage”, but I guess “proper storage” doesn’t include the shipping box:

The shipping label with the revealing informationThe shipping label with the revealing information

That said, the actual box is perfectly fine, with a see-through plastic window instead of a picture of Twin Python on the front. While it does give you an idea of what the product itself will be like (and its impressive size), it’s somehow less exciting than a picture of the toy in action would be. The back of the box does have a picture demonstrating how the shaft is posable, and both the front and back give information on Twin Python itself:

How Do I Use The Temptasia Twin Python?

This is one sex toy where the way you use it is truly up to you! Definitely use some water-based lube with it, though; its 2.25” width is no joke! I would absolutely recommend using Twin Python for role-play with a partner, but exactly how you choose to go about that is entirely your choice.

My Personal Experience

Design

Twin Python is extremely well-designed. The snake heads look absolutely lovely and the ridges make them feel great while you’re using them. While the ends are tapered (because of the snakes’ noses), it still flares out pretty dramatically.

One of the snake headsOne of the snake heads

Even if you’ve used something of this girth before, the shape might not be quite as comfortable as, say, the Seahorse Siren, with its comparable 2” width and much more tapered shape. It’s another aspect of Twin Python that means it’s not just right for everyone, but if you love dildos with a lot of width, this one will definitely appeal to you.

Material

I really loved the UltraSilk finish on the Rattle Snake toy, and I loved it on the Twin Python as well. The silicone feels extremely soft, and the ridges that make the snake’s scales add so much to the feel while also making it look beautiful and detailed.

Stimulations

Twin Python doesn’t have a motor or any electronic components, so it doesn’t have any stimulations in the normal sense. However, I will say that the sensation of using it is very intense, purely because of its size! With its wide heads that flare out dramatically, I can see why it’s labeled on their site as being “for experienced pleasure seekers”. The other stimulating thing about it is the texture, and it feels really wonderful sliding it in and out.

Sound Level

The only sound Twin Python made was when I accidentally dropped it and it did make quite an impressive thud. But beyond that, it makes no noise, since it doesn’t have electronics or a motor of any kind.

Build Quality and Dimensions

The materials on the Twin Python feel fantastic, not to mention high quality. With a length of 18 inches and a width of 2.25 inches, this is by far the largest sex toy I’ve tried and is more than a little unwieldy as a result. While it can fold up, thanks to the posable shaft, it’s still pretty big, even at its smallest.

Ease of Use

A lot of times I’ll disagree when a website says a product is made for a particular group. However, I absolutely agree with Blush when they say Twin Python is one for “experienced pleasure seekers”! While it doesn’t have a complicated interface or a hard-to-reach button, the 2.25 width of the snake’s head (and the fact that it flares out) makes this one a bit of a…stretch, if you catch my drift.

Temptasia Twin PythonTemptasia Twin Python Review – My Sex Toy Guide

While I do agree with Blush when they say Twin Python is not for beginners, I have to laugh at their claims that this dildo is “Travel-friendly” and “discreet with proper storage”. I suppose anything can be discreet “with proper storage”, but the image on the site shows a snake fitting into what looks like a small makeup bag, which…is not going to happen. And I’m sorry, but nothing over 18” can be considered “travel friendly”. Stretched out, that’s significantly taller than my carry-on!

Questionable website claims aside, I still wouldn’t call Twin Python versatile, and that’s really one of its charms. It is so outrageous and, well, big that most people just won’t have any use for it. But if you’re a size queen with a thing for role-play and outrageously designed sex toys, this is guaranteed to be a favorite! A lot of toys that are meant to be appreciated by everyone can sometimes be a bit basic and boring. While Twin Python isn’t right for everyone, no one could call it basic and boring!

Warranty and Support

Blush offers a warranty for products with electronic defects. However, since this toy does not contain any electronics, it does not qualify for a warranty.

Minor Issues I Found During Testing

My biggest issue with Twin Python was the proclamation on the front of the shipping label that I had received a double-ended dildo. That’s not something I need the world to know.

Beyond that, I wish it had been a little bit more flexible. When I squished the two heads together, then let go, it immediately popped back into a horseshoe shape, so it isn’t limitlessly posable. Since its posable shaft is a big selling point of the toy, I would have liked to be able to have it fold up a bit better. Especially since I’m supposedly able to take this with me when I travel.

Alternatives to the Temptasia Twin Python

Blush Rattle Snake

Of the two Temptasia snake toys I’ve tried (don’t worry, I’ll be reviewing the third soon), the Rattle Snake is currently my top pick. With an internal dildo on one end and an external stimulator on the other (both of which vibrate), it’s a little bit more exciting than the Twin Python, especially if you’re playing solo.

And while I loved the texture of the Twin Python, the Rattle Shake’s tail just felt a little bit better to me, with the increasingly large, rounded “rattles”.

Sammie Velvet Thruster Prime

If you like the idea of a long and wide toy but want a bit of power and don’t love the snake design, then the Sammie Velvet Thruster Prime might be a better option for you. It has the same diameter (2.25”) and a 7” insertable length. And unlike the Twin Python, it has a powerful thrusting mechanism.
