How to Connect Lovense Toys to a Mac Computer?

Lovense sex toys are great on their own, but their ability to interact with each other and with adult content truly takes them to the next level. You will need to connect them to your computer in order to unlock this potential, and we’re going to walk through the process of connecting them to your Mac computer. (PC users, click here.)

Step 1. Create an Account

If you purchased your Lovense sex toy from the official Lovense website, you likely created an account to make that purchase. You can use the same account to pair and sync your toy. Accounts support multiple toys, so you can also use the same account for all of your devices.

But if you do not already have a Lovense account, you will need one to enjoy the interactive features. Go to the official Lovense website, navigate to “Sign Up” at the top right corner, and follow the prompts. You will get a verification email from Lovense (like the one above); if you do not receive it, check your spam folders. After you have verified your email, your account is good to go!

Step 2. Download the Lovense Connect App

Next, download the Lovense Connect app installation bundle for Mac from the official Lovense website. This ensures that you have the most up-to-date version and also that there is no malware attached to the file.

Double-click the downloaded bundle and follow the prompts to install the app. Then once the Lovense Connect icon appears, double-click it to launch the app. You will then be prompted to connect your toy.

Step 3. Connect Your Toy

Make sure that your Lovense sex toy is fully charged. Turn it on and hold the power button (circled in the image below) for three seconds until the light starts to blink, which indicates that it is in pairing mode.

Then return to the Lovense Connect app and click the “Add Toy(s)” button. The app will search for your device and attempt to connect. The interface will update with your toy when the connection is successful.

Step 4. Install and Sync Lovense Cam Extension

This works best in Chrome, and our screenshots will be from Chrome. If you prefer a different browser, the process is very similar. Download the Lovense Cam Extension from the official Lovense website. It will arrive as a .zip file. Your system should unpack it automatically, but if it does not, you can use a free utility such as The Unarchiver to unzip it.

Locate the folder named “lovense_cam.” Then open Chrome, open the menu by clicking the three dots in the top right corner, and select Extensions > Manage Extensions. Toggle the switch in the top right corner to enable Developer Mode. Click “Load Unpacked” on the left-hand side and select the “lovense_cam.” The Lovense Cam Extension should now be installed, and you can toggle Developer Mode off.

Log in to the Lovense Cam Extension using your Lovense account credentials. You should see a setup wizard. Select “Connect by Mac” in the Toy Status tab, and your accounts should sync to connect your toys.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

You’re operating entirely in the Lovense ecosystem and Lovense developers are great, so this should be a fairly smooth process. However, we’ll walk through a few common issues and fixes.

• Not Connecting: If you don’t seem to be able to connect your toy or sync your accounts, the time-honored advice is to turn everything off, turn it back on, and try again. This does resolve connection issues quite a bit of the time.
• Bluetooth: Your Mac uses Bluetooth to read and pair with your Lovense toy. If it is not connecting, ensure that your WiFi is strong and your devices are within range. Bluetooth range is typically about 30 feet, but electronic or physical interference can reduce that sharply.

If you are still unable to install the apps, connect your toy, or sync your accounts, you can reach out to Lovense. You may be able to find the answers that you need on their website or user forums, but you can also contact them directly for assistance. This is part of what you pay for when you purchase a high-end toy, so don’t hesitate to get the help that you need to enjoy your toy.
